USA Supertournament

Almost half of Conquer Club's members (49.3% at the moment) are American, and thus it is fitting that we do something special to celebrate the United States. Starting this July 4th, we will have a special USA Supertournament.

Basic Structure: Each week for 50 weeks, there will be a tournament representing one of the 50 states, followed by 3 "bonus" weeks representing D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Pacific possessions. Each of the 50 state tournaments will be identical in structure. Only the map will change. (The three bonus weeks may be slightly different from the basic 50.)

Weekly tournaments: Each tournament will be for 24 premium players. Each will have seven rounds: one round of 1v1, one round of 4-player Standard, one round of 6-player Terminator, one round of 8-player Assassin, two rounds of Polymorphic, and one round of Doubles with a random partner. Every tournament will result in a score.
• 1st place gets 40 points
 • 2nd place gets 30 points
 • 3rd place gets 25 points
 • 4th gets 22 points
 • 5th gets 20 points
 • 6th gets 19 points
 • 7th gets 18 points
 • 8th gets 17 points
 • 9th gets 16 points
 • 10th gets 15 points
 • 11th gets 14 points
 • 12th gets 13 points
 • 13th gets 12 points
 • 14th gets 11 points
 • 15th gets 10 points
 • 16th gets 9 points
 • 17th gets 8 points
 • 18th gets 7 points
 • 19th gets 6 points
 • 20th gets 5 points
 • 21st gets 4 points
 • 22nd gets 3 points
 • 23rd gets 2 points
 • 24th gets 1 point

Based on final standings, prizes:

21st to 25th: 150 credits + Cyan star + CA
26th to 30th: 100 credits + GA
31st to 35th: 80 credits + GA
31st to 35th: 80 credits + GA
36th to 40th: 60 credits + GA
41st to 50th: 40 credits + GA

I will also give a GA to the most amazing score on each map (across all iterations for that week.) There will not be multiple medals for this -- in case of a tie there will be a tiebreaker game.
Joining: Each tournament will re-iterate for one week. (In other words, as soon as one copy of the tournament fills, a new copy will be created, for one week.) You may only join one copy of each weekly tournament. There is no limit to how many you can join in total. Thus, you can join every week. There is no cost to join, but you must be a Premium member. Also, to qualify for the major prizes you must remain Premium to the end.

States and maps: The following is a list of the weekly states and maps representing them. In some cases, where we have an actual map representing the state (New Jersey, California, etc.) the choice of map is totally obvious. In others, such as Dust Bowl for Oklahoma or Pearl Harbour for Hawaii, we have a map with a very strong connection. Some of the others, the connection is more tenuous, and there are some where we are still undecided about the best map to represent the state. This are shown below as (map TBA), and in the coming weeks we will have forum polls to fill those vacancies.

 1. Alabama -- Cuban Missile Crisis
 2. Alaska -- District of Alaska

Are you going to be announcing them here or making a new thread in the tournaments forum for each one? I'm looking forward to it.

Each tournament is supposed to repeat for as many times it fills over the course of a week. So once the first Alabama fills at 24 players a second copy should open for a new set of 24 players. Does not look like it is working at the moment, I'll send a PM and see about a fix.

Like all autotournaments, these give you points for winning only. There isn't any way (yet) to make autotournaments give points for non-winning kills and stuff.

The number of points given for winning each game type is listed in the description.
