I'm not sure I follow. If you beat someone and kidnap you still get the +1 if that's what you're asking?

You get Fame for every lord in your House. Do you get that Fame if they are kidnapped?

Gotcha, yes you get fame for every lord in your house until they are executed. Whether they are in structures, exploring, kidnapped, ransomed, engaged, etc.
Only once they are executed do they lose that fame.

If A Lord from House X moves diagonally into a spot occupied by a rival Lord from House Y, it's normally an ambush situation.

However, if that spot is adjacent to one of House X's castle/cities/watchtowers meaning House X knows the rival Lord is there, is the ambush mitigated? Or, since the House X Lord can't see the House Y Lord himself, is the ambush is still on?

I asked this before and I think it all has to do with who has first turn as to how it plays out.

To Clarify a previous Q&A:

Q: What happens when you lose to an "inactive clan's" castle?
A: I (IcePack) will roll a 1d10 to determine what happens with the losing Lord.
1-3: Execute
4-6: Ransom
7-9: Kidnap
10: Release

This is what will happen the first time a House engages an inactive clans castle.
Subsequent engagements on the same House may result in a more threatening scenario the more aggressive you are towards a House.

Yep, I'll try to come up with something to clarify ambushes. That seems to be the area msot confusing people.

I actually understand the whole initiative thing and how it pertains to ambushes. That is not my question.

The question is whether an ambush situation even exists if House X's castle/city/watchtower can see House Y's lord even though House X's lord cannot see the House Y lord and moves into his square. Would it then be treated as a direct attack/diplomacy situation since the castle/city/wt can see him or would it remain an ambush situation (defaults depending) sicne the House X Lord could not see House Y?

Gotcha, this came up I want to say around Turn ~15 (dont quote me). Ultimately, while the argument exists that the Lord himself doesn't know the lords location I've assumed that if your House knows of the lords location 100% (IE there is no question of it being elsewhere) then it would not be considered a ambush.

So if you have House Y Lord next to House X's castle, and theres a Lord diagonal from House Y Lord who normally wouldn't see him he can still direct attack because his House sees that Lord from their Castle (the assumption being, they communicated the Lords location here).

Its a fine line. And no, telling your ally of a Lords location to avoid an ambush that they wouldn't normally see is not going to fly even though I understand the arugment matches the thinking of communicating above. Thats where the very fine line will be drawn  Your personal House must know of that Lords location through Castle / City / WT in order to avoid the ambush penalty.

I think it should be possible to purchase a ship and sail on the water. I don't know what the price should be or speed of the ship, but it would be an interesting game play twist.

Someone else brought up ships as a suggestion for v2.0. Right now, it doesn't really apply as v2.0 will have a different theme ;)

However, ships + subs etc is potential for future. There's been a lot of discussion behind the scenes about developing this into a series.

Still working on the update unfortunately. Going to try to push through tonight, but it might take an extra day with all the movements and questions / diplo involved here. I think I will probably get the main documents all updated tonight, but will likely take me tomorrow to update all the public sheets and get out PM's.

I like the 3-day cycle. Gives IcePack and team leaders more time and synchs better with the actual game play also.

Thanks for the feedback, this last one took 6+ hours over two days. So if that's the direction it's headed, at end of April I'll definitely be splitting into two days. I'm kinda playing it by ear for now to see if I can't find a way for myself to be more efficient in handling of the updates.

I've started automating some of the 2nd info page, as well as looking to simplify a few things with the legends and info tab redundancies.

This will get PM'd as well to all the main contacts. But heres the new update:

- today I updated all the background stuff, rechecked all the engagements, updating the lord fame, updated turn 23's time lapse screenshot, updated schedules, updated houses of the realms, updated the initiative for Turn 25, and all of the inactive clans info has been updated from Lords, kidnappings, executions, etc as well as all their gold up to Turn 24.

- tomorrow i'll start passing on all the diplo during the day. Expect a bit of a backlog

- tomorrow evening I'll update all the maps and start sending PM's for finalization of all your turns.

- Thursday April 5th @ 2400 CCT is the new schedule for Clans to Submit Turn 25.

Thanks again for all the patience, support and being willing to put up with unexpected RL occurences for the event.
This is one of those things I've made a note for CR@W v2.0 to maybe be able to improve (assistants etc) so that there wouldn't be any delays. (if we can get volunteers)

Cheers
