That doesn't make sense. I'm assuming you're one of the younger players?

If you just join a game by clicking the 'Join a Game' Tab and picking a game with specifications to your suiting, you won't know anything about any of the opposing players, including their ages. Unless you start the game by going "HEY GUYS HOW OLD ARE ALL OF YOU?" your not going to even know which ones are adults and which ones are kids.

There are some very immature adults and some relatively mature kids among us.

This is silly.

maturety gives a better sense of levelheadedness. That is usefull in a game, but a very good player will kick my butt be he young or old...
Age does not always equal maturity, look at the flamewars to see my point. Still in general I expect youngsters (lol) to be more impatient and thus make more mistakes. Those that do not make this mistake, I expect to kick my butt..

Well you've got to remember that maniacmath, probably the best singles player on the sight, is only 18 (I think)

I hope you're kidding!
There are some times on the site that people are like "woah, you're young!" I believe its all in the way you act, there are some good kids (I'm gonna guess we're talking teens) and there are some great Adults, it all depends on the specific situation and the people you're playing.
There is no sure way to say if adults or kids are better, but I'd probably say, being a kid, that adults are better than most.

I pretty much think all kids should be locked in a closet until they somehow magically figure out how to make it on their own, then they should be sent to work camps where they learn when to use "worse" and when to use "worst".

i not really sure and thats y i voted not sure lol.

generally speaking though, kids are more easily able to pick up a a game and learn it in just a couple hours while it takes aduts a bit longer to get the hang of a game. i think i read in a scientific journal somewhere that because kids brains ar still young and fresh that they are able to understand better and quicker than adults but nowadays with tv and games, that may not be true for the most part. but maybe in a game like this where it takes lots of thought and planning, kids may be at a disadvantage to adults.

NOTE: i just joined the game 3 days ago, im only 18, and i suck right now at this game. maybe we teens ar even worse than adults and kids lol

I think you can obviously find exceptions, but in general the years of experience adults have gained playing by playing CC like games like Risk give them a distinct advantage. Not to mention the Nintendo effect, I do not have stats to back my claim up, but I would be willing to bet that the average players over 20 spent much more of their childhood playing board games similar to CC. Whereas todays youth have easy access to the latest and greatest video games, the choice on where to devote their time is easy. Also I would be willing to bet that more adults tend to become long term regulars here because it does remind of our childhood past times.

This brings up a better question though, will the average kid who spends one year on CC be better than say an adult who has only played the physical board game? In less than 5 months I have played more games online than physical games of Risk in my life. This is exactly what happened in the Poker world, many young people learned in less than a year what took lifetimes for greats to learn because of the shear volume of games they could play in a short amount of time.

Note: this second question does not contradict my contention for the first question because adults and kids alike have had the same amount of time to use CC.

I could be wrong, but I do not think that chess has really experienced the growth in higher levels of play like we are seeing here or that happened in poker. The top chess players in the world can hardly be described as internet superstars that made it to where they are by playing 50 games online at a time.

Well. My generation (late teens, 17 specifically) also have childhood memories of the boardgame. I personally have the cardboard version out on a table(although I haven't played in a while).

Once you reach 16 I believe that it is purely down to strategical skill whether you achieve on this game or not. I am 18 but I am sure there are people in their early teens that are colonels whilst some 40 year olds cannot break private.

most people are voting kids are worse, than adults, but i'd like to say that im 13, and i won my first game of risk ever agianst 2 adults and a friend my age, also just being a newcomer im already ahead of 23 pages of players on the scoreboard most of which im asuming a adults.
