bobbythomson wrote:Chuck, sometimes I am really dense. I have done this challenge thing 3 time - perfect record - 0-12, but I am a glutton for punishment. I want to challenge someone - now how to set up my home game, but the random game, how do I (can't remember) set the settings like escalating, sequential, etc.?? Is it the same as the visiting game? Sorry to be less than with it on this. BT
Bob,
To post the actual game number (with a built in link), click the "Game" tab up above. You'll get this to pop into your window:
[ Game][ /Game]
(now I threw in the extra space for you to see what I'm talking about)
Paste or type the game number in between...like this (remember the extra space shouldn't be there):
[ Game]123456789[ /Game]
Then when you post the message, it will look like this:
Game 16993331 (your game with Tim right now)
so when you challenge someone, it "should" look this:
I challenge TimWoodbury. PM (or wall) sent.
Home Game: Game 16993331
Third Game: Game 16970284 (one of old games)
Don't forget the third game is still random, but with these settings: auto, seq, esc, sunny, no trench....and not poly
Hope this helps...

I just checked the Ladder and with the new standings, Tim is outside the range for Bob to challenge him...This match cannot count for Ladder standings...

Re: SoC 1v1 Ladder Challenge
Great job everyone in the reset. I'm glad to see some new faces at the top of the board.
Are we still using the same format for challenges, chuck?
All games random, no 4v4 poly, other settings open? Challenger creates 2 games and defender creates 1?
Anything else?

I pasted the rules for games below, so everyone has the reference...
5. All games will be on Random maps. Each player is allowed to choose the settings for his/her home map/game. The CHALLENGER must create the third map/game with the following settings: Auto, Seq, Esc, Chained, Sunny, No Trench, No Turn Limit.

Re: SoC 1v1 Ladder Challenge
We do not penalize Freemium players for not being able to play poly games...I would drop the game and create a non-poly game. Also, make sure he has enough open spots to accept both games. We do allow Freemiums to play one game at a time.
You can also withdraw the challenge and challenge a different player.

It's CC's policy that Freemiums can't play poly games and there is nothing I can do about it. Simply choose another player to challenge or don't play a poly game against him.

Chapcrap has been inactive since August (his last active turn)...I'm removing him from the Ladder...Please choose another player. Also, you may want to drop those games so you don't have someone jump in there.

Got the challenge recorded for you...

Here are the guidelines for SoC students to join the Ladder:
1. You must over have 100 completed CC games with 95% or higher on turns taken.
2. Must be at least Sergeant level when you enter the Ladder.
3. Have completed at least 5 SoC games (Basic or Team).
4. Must have won at least 1 SoC Training game.
All SoC Students will be verified before being allowed to participate in the Ladder.
You qualify with #1 and #2, but I cannot find any completed SoC Training games...PM me the game links please and we can get you added.
