Re: Random Historical Mafia: Day 2, The Wizard Earl
Doing this from phone. Haven't read through.
If you have a problem with my level of participation, you're one inconsistent man. You know perfectly well that I've participated in the top half of this sorry group. It screams to high heaven that you're not targeting Greg or hotshot if that is your criteria. You ought to be earnest and say that you don't have a case.
Now, my participation level won't be the best - I reckon once a day - as I have back to back music festivals the next 11 days. If that's a problem to people , I have no issues being substituted. I had hoped this game had started a few weeks earlier.
Now, I'm reading the last three and a half pages.

I'm not comfortable with Ragian's level of activity. At this point the only one I feel is probably town is Mets. And if we assume that lynchproof scum is too overpowered then dakky would have to be town too.
Until more information is revealed, I will go with my gut. IF you think I'm town and are willing to trust my instinct, vote with me.. or present a better case against someone else. I will change my vote if I'm convinced.
So FOS IB and Vote Ragian.

Re: Random Historical Mafia: Day 2, The Wizard Earl
Two and a half pages later, mitch is having a noose around his neck. That was quick. There are several things that irked me reading the wagon:
1 hotshot is on it. He went there quickly. He is one of my main suspects from D1 due to lack of participation and hammering (while I'm also annoyed about the attempted lynch).
2 Ib seems to rely on Greg having information (which he may or may not have). I would refrain from voting until that little gem is discovered.
3 Mets calls IB out for voting due to 2,which he seems to think is a scummy move. Yet he votes for mitch himself. I understand that there's a different reason, but I don't get why you would vote along someone you find scummy.
Now, mitch, the only thing you can do is to answer Greg's question: Did you visit anyone last night?

I didn't call the action scummy. I was suggesting that it was poor reasoning, which doesn't make someone scum.
Re: Random Historical Mafia: Day 2, The Wizard Earl
no I did not, did not know my ability until day 2 ,did not like it because I knew NO ONE WOULD BELIEVE ME,so here I am hung again ,watch out for METS and the howling boy
Re: Random Historical Mafia: Day 2, The Wizard Earl
Come on Ragian.. For some people posting once or twice per day might be their norm. For others it's not. You tend to post more. I did encourage the non-posters to post from time to time. It's a weak case I know that hence why I changed the vote quickly. But I don't think there are always strong cases and hesitation can be deadly. There is something to be said about jumping to a particular conclusion to test stuff out.
I hope william didn't give mitch jester role. Jester is just op in mitch's hands because he's always acting like The Joker. But I don't think he is one because it doesn't really sit right in my mind. (There are easier ways to get yourself lynched than to play around and joke mitch just has a fun attitude
)
Ragian sounds like you don't agree we should lynch mitch. Who's your top pick mate?
Greg: we're all waiting for the secrets you claim to hold. Also why aren't you voting?
Hotshot any reason why you're not revealing your reasons for voting mitch?
Tim do you have any information/ did you pick up on something?

With 6 votes on you, it's more of a formality of waiting for the scene than anything else.

Okay. I misinterpreted, then.

Balls in your court, Greg.
@BuJ, I've mentioned my top picks. I can reiterate: Hotshot and Greg (Greg might redeem himself, though). Also, BuJ, I tend to post more. What can I say? The exam period had me working more than usual being an external examiner, grading written exams, and blah blah blah. As mentioned before, it will be like this for almost two more weeks. When in a game, I will give it my best, but I'm also painfully aware of what these festivals do to my best intentions. If you want me subbed, let William and me know.
Wait, has mitch already been lynched? I must have misunderstood something along the way.

Re: Random Historical Mafia: Day 2, The Wizard Earl
If mitch is already lynched, there's no reason for Greg to say anything, really.

but you do realize there are 6 votes on you and that you are technically dead, unless you're another lynchproof or someone saved you...
Re: Vote Count
madmitch - Ironbutterly, Hotshot53, Wingcmdrginkapo, Dakky21, Bujaber, metsfanmax
wingcmdrginkapo - Tim Woodbury
ragian - madmitch
6 votes needed for a lynch.
That's a lynch.

Actually Mets hammered, not mitch himself ^^ LOL

Since mitch was already hammered, there was no reason to disclose my reasoning for why I would have left my vote on him. It could be potentially harmful to town if I did reveal it, so I will hold off for now.

Srry. Someone crashed their car in the neighborhood, and electricity was down for a few hours.
Re: Day 1, The Letter of Conspiracy
Night 2: The Catholic Conspirator
November 2st, 1605
" Tell us, who are you? So many lords were invited, yet so few show up."
" Francis Bacon."
" Francis Bacon?"
" We did not invite a Francis Bacon!"
" Liar! He does not want to reveal his true identity!"
The men quickly apprehended the man. They tied him up. As the sun was setting, they marched him to the scaffold, where a noose hanged. They placed his neck through the noose, and tied his hands behind his back.
" Anything to say? Or do you want meet God with your last words being lies?"
" I am Thomas Percy, a proud Catholic. God bless my fellow Catholics and may he curse the King and his heretics".
And with that, the trap door in the scaffolds gave way. Thomas Percy dropped to his death. The rest walked away, some happy with the resolution, some not. Either way, they pondered their next course of action, as Thomas Percy's body swung and twitched.

madmitch: Thomas Percy (Goon) has been lynched
Night Two has begun.
Each person may make one single post of substance, if they wish. You have 48 hours to send me your actions.

It was me; sorry everyone. I didn't realize Mets' vote was the hammer.
Ragian -- I appreciate it. Thanks for your replies, and good luck with your commitments. I'd rather put pressure on someone and find out I was wrong then not put the pressure at all and miss an opportunity.
As far as I'm concerned you are active enough to keep playing with us. I'm just trying to scumhunt. One of the difficulties with forum mafia is not knowing if the quiet people are quiet because they're busy, or they're scum, or they have nothing to say etc...
This whole secrecy business is fun but also frustrating. Better hope it doesn't bite town in the backside.

Re: Random Historical Mafia: Night 2, The Catholic Conspirat
to answer the question you asked earlier Bu, i didn't vote for madmitch, because by the time the case got started he was already at L2 so i didn't want to vote till he had claimed and I could see if i could catch him in a lie. also i didn't want to start the day with sharing my info, unless i had to, because that would oust my role to the scum and i didn't want to do it yet. i will say that the info i had only applied to madmitch, so it doesn't matter as much now.

Re: Random Historical Mafia: Night 2, The Catholic Conspirat
OK gregwolf121, but by saying that you have info that applied specifically to madmitch and that you wanted to know specifically if he visited anyone last night, you have already effectively soft-claimed what your role is. Also, it was completely unnecessary to ask that question because backup doc is a role that cannot have visited anyone before he became doc, so if the information you have is what you're signalling (i.e. that you're a tracker/watcher) then you knew he was lying immediately.
This is also the reason why I didn't like IB immediately jumping onto the case with greg. Either greg is just giving away unnecessary information to scum, or this was part of a ploy to bus mitch and gain himself town points.

Re: Random Historical Mafia: Night 2, The Catholic Conspirat
First, just want to say that I'm heading out of town right after work tomorrow and get home sometime Sunday, so I won't be able to post at day start.
I don't like Mets coming in with the fast hammer, especially since mitch was so obviously scum by that point. Doesn't seem his usual play. But then, if mafia, why draw the attention to himself. Leaves me feeling more confused than anything.
Do you think this means mitch made up his own claim, or do you think it was one provided by the mod, or do you think the mod didn't provide fake claims? Because if it's the latter, perhaps a mass character claim should be considered.
@HotShot, unless your reason was role related (which, after reading your post, I'm not sure it is), I don't see how your logic could be detrimental to town. If anything, it makes it look like you don't want to commit to why you thought mitch was scum (which we now clearly see he was).
One more thought. Mitch flipping goon shows the interesting possiblity that there are vanilla roles in the game.

Speaking if throwing team mates under the bus...
I actually started the case on Mitch. I did not just "jump" in. I will admit my mistake was not keeping my vote off so mafia could hammer and kill any further discussion.
I really look forward to continuing this discussion but if I am killed???
Mets is scum. Trust me
