Don't get it wrong. I have nothing against LHDD. Great clan. But I have tons of problems with dice in certain games, especially when you go deeply negative in comparison to another team.

not really... we are just disagreeing on 2 things:

-you can't possibly care as much about a game when you have a championship in stake than when you don't.
-being lucky adds epicness to a comeback...

Now where we agree is that in the last few turns we are dice screwing them

113, have you been hanging out with TOP members lately?

so looks like poison rome will be a win (denise said GG...); I'd be surprised to see tofu turn around USA 2.1, even if it's possible...

the league will be decided in new zealand, like last year! Didn't seem possible but this year things are even closer.

I can respectfully disagree with the first statement. Winning is all that matters to me when playing this game. Every loss sucks to me. In fact, it would bother me more to lose a regular game to an inferior opponent (because of dice luck) then to lose the championship to a strong team that played well. I understand that is not how everyone thinks but it is how I think.

With respect to epic comebacks: it is certainly subjective. For me, it is about snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. That usually requires lucky dice/cards or stupidity from your opponent.

so... what you're saying is that for example, you'd have the same motivation to win a regular season game than you would for the superbowl game if you were a pro football player?

and regarding your second point yes I agree... even if the come backs against you guys were not due to bad moves from your players.

I am hopeful that you can see the difference between playing an internet game and being a professional athlete on the biggest stage in the world...Your analogy does not work for me.

the biggest stage in the world.... lol  that's so american to believe such things...
people outside of the US don't care about the superbowl... Too long, at a terrible time, and it's a sport that no one plays outside of the US.
Seriously, outside of the US, the NBA is probably by far the most popular US sport as people do play basketball around the world, and people from all over the world play in NBA. They don't play ice hockey nor baseball (granted there are a few exceptions)... even less american football.
the UEFA champion's league final is a world event and is watched all around the world... being the most important club game of the most important sport worldwide.
Asia, Africa, central and south america are all about football and don't care about american football... well there are most likely a few people who watch it out of curiosity a bit everywhere..

Anyways, of course I'm not comparing pro sport with an internet game. But you are comparing losing a battle on an internet browser with losing a war on an internet browser, if you want a more down to earth analogy! ;)

I doubt there is! as I said.... ice hockey is like baseball. there are about 10 countries that play it if we're lucky, no more than that. (from what I know, in europe czech and slovaks, scandinavians, swiss and russians play it, and that's about it)
As a frenchman, it's like if I told you rugby is played everywhere.... it's really popular in 10 countries or so.... if you don't count small pacific islands.

regarding what I said about the superbowl:

Impossible to say anything. We are praying all possible gods that TOFU dice roll only 1, and ours anything but 1.
But don't worry, we'll announce it as soon as it's certain if it go our way ;)

I personally don't watch much Champions League, but I will watch the World Cup, although I prefer the Women's WC since I don't play football, but I have three daughters that do...and the US is WAY better at Women's WC than Men's. I often think our women's team could beat our men's team...

But, I prefer a last race title decider in F-1 to anything else (as long as a red car does not win). That's not very "American" of me but there it is.

female football is not very popular around here but it's starting to grow. I know that for US and canada it's as big as male football.

I love F1 too as you know it, but I'd say I'd prefer a last race title decider with alonso not winning at the end

I don't mind rolling 1s in defense if tofu rolls the 1s in attack you're talking about!

USA2.1 is lost. We will fight on but it would basically take missed turns or a miracle.

bah, when a game is 100% lost i don't really see the point to keep on fighting..we stopped fighting on gallipoli at some point because all wee were doing was delaying the inevitable, same on hive.
I see no pride in adding a few turns to a lost cause; even if usa 2.1 doesn't look like a complete lost cause just yet and deserves a little extra fight.

but it was already pretty clear, it all comes down to new zealand.

seriously, fallen has won 1/4, semi (against us) and the final of the cc5 by 1 game each time... that would suck balls to see them win again by 1!

I've stuck out in a fight several times and ended up winning.
My partner and I almost had lost Austerlitz, I was down to 1 territory and 1-2 troop and I think he had 6? Or so territory and the enemy was dropping mad bonuses.

It was all dice but not giving up, we managed to break them and hold our own bonus and ended up winning the game. A handful of key turn arounds like that in key games can win a war.

As far as NZ is concerned, I hope TOFU gets it obviously. But it's very clear the 3 clans are very equal, and such a small difference in final scores and game differences makes it pretty fun. I knew having LHDD vs TOFU in finals would mean the final scores wouldn't be determined until they very near end because of it.

It's been incredible to watch you two fight it out. Now stop joking around and win TOFU! :p

haha, but trench makes a huge difference ice! in trench you need to have crazy dice in defense and offense for a real long amount of rounds... not even sure mad dice in defense and offense could even be considered in gallipoli trench given that all terts are +1 bonus!

I mean like really lost games, where you drop like 20 to 70 on hive and all you're doing is waste everybody's time. No, you cannot come back on those games!

don't get too excited regarding NZ!!!! :P

you made tofu lose the CC5 and I'm not sure I remember, but I think they would've won the CL6 without your help!
