so, since I won 2 I'm picking 2 settings from the games I won and the round limits? I'll go with 30 rounds for both, Nuclear, fog on 1 and flat, adjacent on the other.

I'm getting a few responses that are not quite what is needed. Maybe I haven't explained this very well.

There are three basic game types in the first movement. The three games are:
CC default (sunny escalating chained no fog no trench)
Strategist (flat rate adjacent sunny trench)
Secret Agent (nuclear foggy parachute no trench)

When you win one of these, you can choose two settings to change, and at least two have to stay the same. So, if you won the Strategist game, you could (for instance) change the spoils to nuclear and change the forts to unlimited, but then you would have to keep sunny and trench the same. Or, you could go foggy and no trench, but then you would have to keep flat rate and adjacent the same. Change a maximum of two settings, and keep at least two the same.

You can also choose to change fewer than two settings. Several players have said "no change" and that is fine.

You can also change the round limit from the default 30 to 20 or 50, but that doesn't count against your maximum.

Ok my bad there. I guess I won strategist and secret agent, so for strat I will go with flat, chained, sunny, trench and for secret agent I will go with unchanged. 30 round limits for both please. Hope I got that right. Cheers, Bent

2nd movement games have been sent.

The following PM has been sent, also, to keep people informed of how this is working:
The Budejovice tournament moves forward to Phase 1, 2nd Movement. New games have been sent out.

Due to conscription, some of you are playing in more than one group. If you get 6 invites instead of 3, don't worry -- it's not a mistake. You have been conscripted to play in another group besides your own.

Conscription does give some people extra chances to win. The conscription list keeps rolling from one Phase to the next, so this advantage will even out over time.

Good luck, everybody!

Muti seems to have left the building. Reservist Awoodness has been called up to active duty.

Almost ready to start Phase 2 Movement 1.

Goldenwarrior seems to have left the site and is removed from the tournament.

I have scored the first two phases and here is the link to the scoring spreadsheet:
Quick link to scoring spreadsheet

At the top of the scoreboard we have...

Current Top Ten
neanderpaul14 38
donche64 37
Leverpuller 28
overlander 27
bdb 21
shoop76 21
iAmCaffeine 20
mikehayes 13
paws1610 13
wombat4 13
At the bottom of the scoreboard, and in danger of elimination, we have:
Awoodness
CatchersMitt14
Charle
Code_RED
danervinsucks
Gawddog
harvmax
jcmontys
molespe
MyTurnToWin
Pochuco
rmjw10
RobbieDub
ruleroftheworld1
Runst
serram
Silly Knig-it
Silvanus
slaylark
tzor
Ukey
Vonkillenoffen

Tiebreaking rules will have to be applied. None of the above have any wins, so we check for kills (tiebreaker 3)

Sorting the above by kills, we have:
RobbieDub 6
Code_RED 5
Gawddog 3
harvmax 2
ruleroftheworld1 2
Silly Knig-it 2
Awoodness 1
molespe 1
MyTurnToWin 1
Pochuco 1
rmjw10 1
Runst 1
slaylark 1
CatchersMitt14
Charle
danervinsucks
jcmontys
serram
Silvanus
tzor
Ukey
Vonkillenoffen

That still leaves 9 players with zero kills, and we only need to eliminate 4. That will require the application of tiebreaker 4, precedence.

Ranking the 9 by precedence:
Vonkillenoffen
Silvanus
danervinsucks
serram
CatchersMitt14
----------------------------
Charle
jcmontys
tzor
Ukey

Players from CatchersMitt14 up stay in, players from Charle down are eliminated.
I also did some small clean ups. There were two reserves on the list, macattacker and ziggy62. Macattacker hasn't been online since March and ziggy was a duplicate entry, so I've removed them. We currently have no reserves.

This tournament is taking too long.

Would most of you be willing to reduce all round limits to 20 starting immediately with the next phase?

At 20 round limit with some of these settings it encourages people to sit and wait for the round limit instead of engaging in a game. I will go with whatever you decide but would prefer we stay at 30 or above limits.

My vote is do not go to only 20 round games.

Sure, if you feel that the long waits are due to game rounds.

Honestly the difference between 20 and 30 would probably affect the trench ones, as Silly King-it put it. And the stacking game could actually backfire if you consider the time it takes for the game to complete. Could happen that most of those actually finish after round 20 and not before...
But in what concerns my games, I can say that the pace is just slower, just like casual play. If that happens all around, we'd just have 20 round slow games..:)

You should also consider that we're in the first rounds and the game load will start to decline as we get fewer players. I guess that starting with round 3 (so some 15 games less), "speed" will start to improve.
