Classic is the most difficult-to-understand map. I can't understand why anybody likes it.

When you get random armies displaced, rather than nice empires that can make great fan-fiction, you get scattered tribes. The storyline only makes sense if you assume a post-apocalyptic world. Why else would Chicago be allied with Dakar and Yakutsk but be at war with Edmonton, Montreal, New York, Vancouver, Los Angeles and Havana?
