VDLL vs RET (24-29 out of 53) RET Win FINAL 3/28

Post by Extreme Ways »

RET contact: [player]The_Samurai[/player]

The VDLL has clenched some very tight wins lately, and just finished their war versus AFOS. In the meantime, RET was already waiting to challenge us. Assuming statistics matter this war will be very close: 13th (VDLL) versus the 12th (RET) in the most recent F400 ranking.

The VDLL has clenched some very tight wins lately, and just finished their war versus AFOS. In the meantime, RET was already waiting to challenge us. Assuming statistics matter this war will be very close: 13th (VDLL) versus the 12th (RET) in the most Nov1 F400 ranking.

Terms of War:

53 total games (Each game equals 1 point)
- 14 doubles
- 14 triples
- 14 quads
- 10 Poly Games (See more below for poly rules)
- 1 Tiebreaker

For purposes of the war term agreements, the double, triple, and quad games will be defined as "traditional" and the Poly games will be defined as "Poly".

20 round limit mandatory in Trench games.

Traditional games = 45 games

- Set 1 - 3 doubles, 3 triples, 3 quads per clan + tie-breaker
- Set 2 - 1 doubles, 1 triples, 1 quads + 5 polys
- Set 3 - 3 doubles, 3 triples, 3 quads per clan
- Each clan member can only participate in 20 traditional games per clan war
- Each clan will pick the map and settings for exactly half of the games.
- The 45th game will be Trips on Random, sunny, chained, escalating
- Game 45 does not count towards player traditional game total
- Each map can only be used twice per clan for traditional games but can only be used once per game type (i.e. once for triples and once for quads)
- There will be no freestyle, speed, manual deployments, beta maps, zombie, or no forts games allowed.
- The following maps will not be used: Doodle Earth, Luxembourg.
- The 12-hour fog rule will be in force.

Poly Games = 10 games

- Each Clan will setup 5 home Poly Games in batch 2.
- Have to setup a minimum of each types (1 dubs,2 trips,2 quads)
- Following Player and Map Restrictions will be used for Poly Games:
- Poly Map usage WILL be counted as 1 out of the 2 times a clan can use a home map.
- Clan member may only participate in 1 home and 1 away poly game. Poly games do not count toward the maximum of 20 traditional games per member.
- The following maps will not be used: Doodle Earth, Luxembourg
- There will be no freestyle, speed, manual deployments, beta maps, zombie, or no forts games allowed.

Fog of War rule is not being followed in the following games - don't know if this is a problem in other games. Please report here. Thanks!

question: It says sets will start in 3-week intervals. Does this mean mean 29th of november + 3 weeks, so set 2 starts one of these coming days, or does it mean 14th december + 3 weeks due to the stalling at the start of this month?

Pretty sure 14th + 3 weeks, but I'll message RET about it.

Game 16244012, Ltrain didnt apply the fog rule. Although the description said the rule applied.

- The 12-hour fog rule will be in force.

Now what? Your rule, keep yourself to it if you wanne force a gentlemans agreement!

Chill out mate - no need to be so abrupt. Anyway this is a map where nothing is visible except neutrals, so it is well known in the clan world that the 12h fog rule doesn't apply to those maps.

Then state it in the rules, you didnt and you even typed in the description the rule applies. You made the games yourself, why would you do that then? Now deal with the consequences?

Although it comes from his mistake.

Koganosi, this is the most absurd thing I have seen in clan wars in the 2 years I've been involved. But if you want to restart the game, I really don't give a f*ck because it doesn't make the slightest difference.

You are clearly just making this an issue because members of your clan violated the fog rule in game where it actually affected what we could see. But it was fixed and we moved on, no big deal, it happens. I'm sure we've done it in important games nobody's perfect.

But dude, you have played Feudal War 70 times, and even if you had never played a game of risk in your life it would be so painfully clear looking at the map that the fog rule doesn't apply on a map like that. We and our other opponents skip it on maps like that ALL THE TIME. This is absolutely the first time I've even seen someone make a scene about such an obvious exception to the rule.

I'm only going on here because I just got online and saw all this text in game chat, thru email, and on the message board about this dumb shit. You just wasted a ton of my clan leader's time. So don't even pull some "I'll be a man and same I'm sorry- oh but it's really your fault" bullshit.

Extreme Ways and I have agreed that there is no need to wait for 12h on the Feudal map as there are no consequences in doing so, as per the accepted 'broad' fog rule which gives space to common sense. The game can continue.

29-24 for Retribution seems to be the most likely final score.

Thanks for the war, VDLL ! See you again on the battlefield.

29-24 indeed. Both Hives are pretty much decided as is Conquer Rome. I should probably update this thread some day in the future.
