actually you can vote which is best. click on the "full review" for CC and there's voting panels on the right. the info they have though is outdated, anyone care to register there and set them straight? all the negatives they list (long turns, no card counter, etc..) are incorrect since you can play RT's, we added a card counter, plugins, etc...

they list Grand Strategy first and rave about it, so I'm pretty sure the dude over there has a hand in that site as well.

they mention the conquest game...thats actually what I was playing before coming here...its against computers, so you have to set them up to be just good enough to be a challenge, but not too good...problem is...you tend to set them up to be pushovers...its just human nature...while waiting for turns, Ill still occasionally play one out...but now I suppose i can play the 2 player games...

Conquer Club. This is a browser-based Risk game similar to Grand Strategy.

Didn't the creator of Grand Strategy start his site and steal our maps and idea's from the to-do list? I agree, someone needs to register there and set them straight.

GS doesn't even have a forum, how can it be better?

Edit: Actually if you check the poll results it's pretty clear what the best site is.

I played there for a while...just wasnt the same...the owner is actually good at risk, and not a bad guy from what I could tell, talked with him briefly, but the site lacks the atmosphere this place has...and now that it has the 2 player games here, no reason to even check it out...they have some other options, but didnt really add to it in my opinion...but secret alliances are legal...which you will know after one game...someone asks you for an alliance, you say no, and then everyone else is attacking you...just silly

and the team games are played one team at a time simultaneously...not near the amount of strategy, that CC's games take...if you go first and play together, you can seal a game on round one...kind of pointless

I did like clicking on the armies to attack though...but I did tend to get sloppy that way too...

but theres no beating the forum in this place...thats why you have to be careful about what you delete

Someone should add a comment to the review and mention Greasemonkey scripts. Any complaints about CC interface disappear. I would, but I didn't want to join just to do that.

I took a glance at GS and it seems OK, but I didn't see anything to make me regret joining CC. I didn't take a close look at the card system, though. The blurb made it sound like something with potential. But compared to the maps and gameplay here? Pshaw.

I went over to GS and saw that their TODO AND CHANGE list was pretty much an exact copy of lacks.

Wait, could lack be living a double life ?

Ohh yeah. Im going off topic in my own topic but why isnt W@W or whatever it was that beat us in a tourney on there.

Is that site even still there ?

I loved your comments wicked, especially this bit:

We also have a great forum community. Unfortunately, the moderators tend to be on the immature side and power abusers. But, if there is something wrong (bad feedback, inappropriate posts, ect.) they will fix it.

This is a website that has reviewed pretty much all the Risk based websites on the net.

Conquer Club review

Clearly the reviewer has been paid or something to make conquer club sound bad.

"The map is not very readable and is difficult to get a feel of the distribution of armies by a single glance."

What website is he on?! Conquer club make the best maps! And I think he had based his opinion on one map here, as he says The map.

"However. there are no stats to show you how many armies or territories each player has and you are forced to count it yourself."

He clearly hasn't heard of add ons such as Greasemonkey if you use Firefox. And I think he needs to update his review, there are card counters now...

"The game is free to play, though you can pay with a yearly paid subscription to get all of the features."

He acting as if it is $150 a year or something...

The only positive thing he has said about cc is that it is quite addictive and quickly becomes a habit.

- After reviewing his review, I've concluded he hasn't spent waaayyy enough time on here to even mention half the stuff.

Indeed. What a jerk, someone should obviously do another review of CC.

Grand Strategy

You can even use a chat box to talk to other players and initiate diplomacy.

Oh wow, I wish we thought of that

Another feature that I noticed is that you have the option of unlimited fortification in some games.

Omg, I must go to that website immediately and play.

"All in all, this is a good risk game implementation and I encourage you to try it. The graphics are very clear and eye-pleasing unlike other implementations such as Conquer Club."

Lol, clearly someone has been paid to say that
