I guess I should just consider the source of the post.

The OP has 71 total games, and none since May of this year, yet has 2100 forum posts?

How would anybody know if somebody is gay unless they tell them?

Not impacting my life, so why should I give a shit?

i really wish you would take the time to actually read the threads that you come to troll in...

Subject: Gay should not be considered taboo

this is yet the same topic he has discussed and had locked in multiple areas of the forums... for some reason, this really seems to matter to him...-Jésus noir

There is a phrase about pots and kettles... but your paranoia would probably see it as racist.
Interesting to note that "troll" was a word used by the gay community to mean "walk". Curious how it stays in some people's consciousness... :-k :-k

You're providing a new meaning to 'clutching at straws'.

Holy fucking hell! "Cupcake" is somehow either homophobic, or derogatory to Asians? In the same way that "shovel" is derogatory to rich people, and "green" is bigoted against poor people, amirite? Good god man, shut the fuck up and pick a new cause!

Bollocks in 2015.

let me give some other examples

In USA "spunk" means semen, sperm etc.. In Australia it means a very attractive person
In USA you wear a thong over your genitals, in Australia you wear a thong also, but on you foot.
In USA a fanny is your bum, in Australia it is female genatalia

These are issues we deal with every day in the moderation team.. What it means to 1 country, religion, culture does not apply to all.

We have to draw a line in the sand somewhere.. tolerance is what is needed for us to move forward.

Because he is obviously someone who goes from form to forum to stir shit up, not to play the game and be part of the community.

He has probably made the same post on 50 other forums.

yes, these are great examples of the challenges facing the moderators... however, the nuances of the language really seem to escape the members of team CC. and it shows, when you have a vast number of foreign members volunteering and not understanding the nuances of the english language. CC seems to have issues with homophoboia, racism, xenophobia, etc... recent cases have shown that moderators can not even understand how a "newscast" could be used in a racist manner. why? because to them, "the news can not be racist.' um, ok...

yes, there are CC team members that are quite able to discern what is and what isn't a forum violation. however, the vast majority of them seem wholly incapable of doing so. when you have members openly making homophobic statements in global chat and the forums that go unpunished, it sends the wrong message. when people report posts or pm's, they are dealt with behind closed doors and unless you see that person pop up as a "GUEST", you have no idea what was done or said. and as is often the case, in recent CC history, nothing is truly done to the offender, aside from a slap on the wrist. when issues are posted in the forums or C&A, they are locked without decisions, when clear violations have occurred.

CC has clear cut rules that should be followed. zero tolerance should mean zero tolerance. again, some members of team CC are wonderful at their jobs, but the vast majority of them, in cases that deal with these sorts of things, are not. sadly, time and time again, the jr. mints have been weighed, measured and have been absolutely found wanting... the black jesus has spoken...-Jésus noir

*cough*

p.s.-the OP does not play games. he comes to the forums to stir the same shit he always stirs. there are now 3 duplicate threads across the forums. he has not responded in any, he just keeps creating them. these are the sorts of things you would expect moderators to take note of and deal with, not the members.

But here lies the problem.. If it offends 1 person should it be deleted? Then any post that refers to religion, atheism, politics, culture needs to be removed and the poster punished.. Our rules are not clear cut and unfortunately open to the opinion of the moderator or moderators who deal with each issue

Maybe I was wrong to agreeing to kill of the globals, but it is up to the community team now

I don't think you were wrong. Fircoal was still a global 2 years after he last did a moderating action. Gabriel13 was a mod for 2 years and never did a single moderating action. I can't remember all the names now but I remember going through the list and 5/8 were not even active on the site, let alone moderating.

Also, even having forum mods is gay. Their only purpose is to f*ck symmetry in the ass with permabans. Which he enjoys... which is why he keeps coming back.

Speaking as the head of the Community Team, I honestly don't have time to get involved in forum shit. Perhaps some people will think I'm being too blunt, but that's just the reality. I work 60 hours a week at my day job, I come home, take care of my family, and then do at least 6 or 8 and sometimes as much as 20 hours a week of unpaid volunteer labour running tournaments and events on Conquer Club. Sometimes in the summer when things get slow in my R/L job, I have more time for Conquer Club, but from late September to early April I'm working too much to put in more than 20 hours a week here.

Sometimes I get involved in forum drama, and I always regret it. Bottom line, this is a strategy gaming site. People come here to earn medals participating in tournaments and playing strategy games. That is the core essence, and the forums are, by and large, a distraction. Not only a distraction, but a toxic distraction, where people say toxic shit that results in bad feelings that weaken the rest of the site. And I say this in full cognizance of my own guilt, because I know that I have at times joined in the mudslinging on the forums. I'm as human and fallible as the next guy. I suppose to my credit at least I'm cognizant of my own contributions to the problem and I try to limit them.

Bottom line, my time is precious to me, and as long as my time is limited I'm going to try to concentrate it on things that actually matter, things that actually result in more people playing games and winning medals. In a perfect world I would like to see the forums be a happier place, but I know that playing Kindergarten Cop and standing here saying "let's play nice, children" is going to accomplish exactly Sweet F.A.

Ideally a forum is a place where gentlemen congregate, examine their ideals openly and honestly and in the spirit of fair play, exchange ideas, helping each other to refine their thinking. In fact, what usually happens is that everything turns into a pointless shouting match, a gang of demagogues each trying to outshout the next guy, or score comedy points by making snide remarks that they think are funny, completely immune to others' ideas. Trying to stem the tide would be an interesting exercise to someone who was retired, had no responsibilities and no family and no other demands on his time. If someone like that wanted to volunteer, I'd gladly take him on board. I myself simply cannot.

Sadly, what your post breaks down into is that you decide to intervene when you feel like it, and when you don't feel like it you should be excused as you're busy then.

As an aside, you should read Adorno's essay "Free Time". You would find it interesting, I think

Nothing about your post is fixed. It's a barely legible flame. If you feel you can post a coherent argument.

Now, if you feel like making a point that isn't an attack on me, or evidential of your inability to write a sentence devoid of illiteracies, please do let me know.

So, just to make sure I understand... 300+ posts and 100+ posts and lots of games make you part of the community, but 2,100 posts and 71 games does not make you part of the community?

Given that the OP's premise is that the entirety of the site is/is not inclusive of homosexuality and given that most of the perceived inclusivity or non-inclusivity of homosexuality would exist in the written word (rather than armies moving around a map and dice being rolled), his question has more value than your response given his time and participation in the community as compared to your own.

TL,DR - Participating in the forums makes you more of a part of the community than playing games.

alright. i went and read through your other thread on this and it looks like you actually may be gay. But this is the internet, and you aren't going to stop gay bullying (which is terrible) by posting to a message board. People are going to have bad dice and say you motherfucking faggot go suck your dad's dick. It's just going to happen. I don't say things like that when I have bad dice, but the volunteers that moderate this site can't go chasing around everyone that says something like that in every game.
