ever met a celebrity?

When I was 14 I thought Randy Macho Man Savage was going to steal my bicycle. I didn't have a lock, so I waited until he walked past before I entered the store.

I've met a couple of Dutch celebrities, but let's be hounest. You aren't really a celebrity, when you're from a shithole like Holland.

Also, they weren't particularly nice or anything, apart from minister Plasterk. I can understand being tired of giving autographs and such, but when you're a movie star in The Netherlands, it should be relatively easy to go to the supermarket and have your own life.

PS. If you wish to know, the celebrities were: Mark Rutte, Kim van Kooten, Barry Atsma, Paul Witteman, Ronald Plasterk (multiple times, a few conversations). Trust me, you gotta be Dutch to know these people.

After a U2 concert in '83, Bono came out and sat on steps by the bus for 20-30 minutes to chat with the small group of fans there. Told stories of how he got punched when jumping into the crowd at rival school in Ireland when he was a lad. Got the Edge's autograph on my ticket stub... worst autograph ever... printed in capital block letters: E-D-G-E.

I was an extra in a movie called Little Big League and got Ken Griffey Jr autograph. My friend tried to get Randy Johnson's chewed bubble gum. Randy just laughed at my friend.

I also met the lately-revealed-to-be-a-pervert Jimmy Saville. He seemed odd, and egocentric, but a nice enough bloke. Obviously I was wrong.

Ronald Reagan in 1984 while stationed in Guam.

I was on a detail of Marines directed to provide perimeter security of the mansion he was staying in. He came out after dark, toured the perimeter and spent a few minutes with each of us and thanked us warmly.

I saw Meredith Baxter Birney at Target about 15 years ago.

I met Bruce Campbell at his book signing/meet & greet after a showing of Evil Dead 2.

I met Malcolm McDowell at comic con.

I sat next to Regis Philbin & Jack Nicholson at a Lakers playoff game.

I met Jacoby Shaddix from Papa Roach at Target.

I met Bill Cartwright (went to high school with his son).

Vlade Divac, Peja, Chris Webber & Doug Christie after a playoff game.

Actually I went to some no name nobody ever heard of it dirt track one day as a kid, and Sterling Marlin and Petty were out there at the track that day. Got him to sign a bunch of stuff for us kids (me and my brother) it was pretty awesome
