I think CC is a superb site, but the single biggest and most enduring irritant to me is unquestionably the Eliminated games - I have a stack of them, some of which are Classic games that go waaaaaaay back to when I was a much lower rank, which I generally forget about until I'm climbing up the promotion ladder only to find that one or two long-forgotten games end and I lose scores of points ......... it must be a simple matter to lose points at time of elimination that can then be 'banked' for the eventual winner.
Cheers
God's Dad
PS - it would also be nice to have the apostrophe in my username back, but that's a very minor matter
CC is a superb site, but.....

Re: CC is a superb site, but.....
I guess it sort of works the other way around too....imagine you started a game with Cooks, but it went on for ages, and by time it ends they're all Generals, you'd get loads of points.
Also check out the 'Terminator' game setting when creating/joining, it should be more like what you're after - the points won/lost are calculated when the player is eliminated, not at the end of the game. Though it's not compatible with certain other settings. You can also dodge the issue by playing more 1vs1 or team games.
To do what you're after....to calculate points at elimination and bank them until the end of the game...makes sense, but also sounds like the server would have to calculate and then hold onto a lot of extra data for extended lengths of time? idk
I like your username this way. It's more multicultural as it recognises the potential for more than one god, and you're the dad of all of them. In my mind I picture you sort of like Zeus. Our resident forum Black Jesus is gonna love it!

I think it can be a real, painful problem for freemiums. There's an option to set a round limit though.

I think you can request a username tweak for things like punctuation and capitalization. Maybe submit a ticket for it?
As for losing points due to a lower-ranked player, that's just one of the quirks of CC. That can happen against opponents who drop quickly in rank, too. A player might have been a colonel when the game started, but before the game's finished, he could have dropped down to a striper (or stripper? (= ). That's kind of abusive, and it sometimes is points-manipulation.

Games you've been eliminated from (but are still ongoing) do not count towards the maximum of 4 active games a freemium can have.
