----FYI..I don't need to google shit. Maybe you should try living and talking to people. Who live on two sides of a river. A medium Canadian city and a large US one. I know how real people talk and act. It might say African,Asian,or Latin Canadian on paper. But the actual Canadian people(in the 21st Cen.) are above such things. As cheap American race card tactics. It shows the two societies and their educational systems in a nutshell. Maybe you should stop googling and come across the pond more often. :D I know talking is becoming a lost concept in this day and age. I can see why you find it bizarre. Don't try and tell me about my own History. You might want to google how US Vets were treated by Americans. When they came home from Vietnam. So I know all about "The Stars and Stripes". ,"The Union Jack" as well. ;) ConfederateSS.out!(The Blue and Silver Rebellion).

I don't believe you tell the truth about anything.

Oh, hello Mets! Luckily there is a way we can find out! Let's take what I said one thing at a time.

#1
'intersex is way different from transgender'

I don't get it Mets. You say I don't tell the truth about anything. So, concerning #1, what did I 'lie' or speak incorrectly about? You must be of the opinion intersex and transgender the same things?

I kinda did just provide four different studies on the last page discussing how transgender individual's bodies and minds are often different on a scientifically measurable level. But sure, go ahead and talk with Mets, you obviously have your reasons for not wanting to talk about that...

science isn't the only thing that exists here, is it?

I don't see what there is to talk about transgenders given we both seem to agree. The thing with Mets is just a side game for extra gil.

I occasionally find myself wondering how many resources are wasted from conversing with you. You want something objective (i.e. scientific), and it's given to you, then you (very likely) ignore that and either (a) make some new point and/or (b) repeat your previous argument. Someone reminds you of the data, and then you say, "science isn't the only thing that exists here, is it?" Yarg...

yeah....and you are such a joy!

I will now pinpoint where you make your mistakes....

I wasn't ignoring anything. I do not dispute his link or the science in it. Where you went wrong was assuming we were talking about things that we weren't talking about. That came in the realm of 'public conversation' and my comments about why I wasn't going to talk about some of the other reasons, granted I already listed science.... here. / was wrong to assume my other reasons and factors were science (they aren't), and you took that deflated ball and tried driving it to the hole.

So I shouldn't look for evidence to back up my arguments? That's an interesting approach you're advocating. I realise that it must be inconvenient for you. Seeing arguments that are backed up by evidence simply pull apart your barely coherent missives must be tough. For what it's worth, your scrambling to change direction before you hurtle off another rhetorical cliff is fascinating, but seems a little desperate.

I'm really not sure why I would ever want to visit Canada though. Hell, even your head of state doesn't want to live there.

Yeah, but it is the the most important thing in defining objective reality, which is pretty important in any case of fairness.

I like the way you think. But actually, per emotional barbarianism designed to prevent actual discussion.... Mets doesn't stalk me anymore, Woodruff is vanquished. BBS still tries, but I never get sucked into the hatred. 2015 has seen a lot of good convos so far.

I started to read through this whole thread, then bounced to the bottom... seems too many people here would still just rather trot out their judgementalism than really understand anything.

I am by no means a "transgender champion" , but you know what? I am more bothered by women who "stare" because they are attracted to other women than by a man who has definite other interests! ( Neither is really a big issue as long as that is where it stays) The issue is really harassment, not the genitalia one has or does not have. There used to be common gender rules, but they no longer apply in the same way, so society has to change.

That, too is freedom... REAL freedom means respecting all, not just your own ideas and beliefs.

That's okay, I'm not the type to hissy over something like that n just let it be. But I did want to ask you something...... is science really more important than behavior? than education? than experience? even culture? And per the science thrown around the last few years, it seems like the science wasn't even right or else many people were knowingly telling some big lies in order to paint a false picture in attempt to gain an edge over everyone else in the name of equality. What I am talking about here is..... not so long ago, everyone was running around repeating what they heard repeated then defending it to the death....and that was 'they are born that way' 'we were born that way' Um, actually, science finds newborn babies do not possess sexuality.

What is a good age for children to decide if they are boy or girl regardless of physical genitalia? Who are we to say yes or no to them? Remember no one can tell another how one perceives themselves even if the brain hasn't fully developed. Right?

I'm just curious how their policy works. If I go to the gym tomorrow and see a nice hottie can I go in the next day with a wig and and some oranges down my shirt saying I'm now Paula, can I then go into the women's locker room? Or do I need to buy a new membership?

You need to phone the location from the OP and ask.

Also, does one need to pick one gender and stick with it? Hardly fair to bi-polar persons that may have personalities that are a different gender from the one who initialized the membership.

Is science more important? Yes, no, and neither at the same time. Science is all those things and more. What you perceive are variables, whether they are "real" or "made up", they now exist for some reason, so they do have an effect on the landscape on the mind. The important thing is logical thinking; break it down to it basest form, arrive at a conclusion that agrees with all measurable data, then adjust accordingly for new understanding.
What does gender mean in our culture?
Why does it mean anything in our culture?
Is it important to enforce binary rules for exactly two genders?
That is the root; the culture should not shape the knowledge, the knowledge should shape the culture, that's why we must question things. The former is simply not pragmatic or logical.

As for lying one's way to "get an edge" as you put it. It would be nice if you were more specific. Do you mean like people of mixed race pretending to be white historically to get the privileges full blooded euro-decent individuals are afforded? Women disguising themselves as men so they might decide their own lives rather than be bargained off to a home? Whatever-sexuals pretending to be within the accepted majority to not be killed. Again, a key question to ask yourself before feeling slighted is why does pretending to be X in Y culture give an inherent edge.

Finally, about babies having no sexuality, do you have a source? I'm a bit curious about how that was measured. More importantly though, is that actually the relevant point? I mean, I would sort of hope babies don't have sexual preferences; it's not really a trait they need. That sort of thing sounds like saying "Tiger cubs aren't born eating meat, thus eating meat is a choice for tigers!" The important thing is when and how the trait is triggered, not being born displaying said trait.

Exactly! Who are you to say what makes someone else feel comfortable? There are parents and authority figures who have done exactly that for eons with absolutely no knowledge or reason on their side.
What do you mean everything looks blurry? Suck it up, your eyes will fix themselves!
What do you mean it's easier to write with your left hand? What do you know? You're just a kid, keep practicing with your right!

That's such a common response, it's just a phase, it's just pretend, it's just kids being kids. Fine, if you believe that, put the proof on the table, the experts already have, and that's why they should be the ones to judge.
Did you have that phase where you wanted to be whatever your opposite gender is? I'd wager not. The important thing is the psychology that triggers the pretend. Some kids want to be a firefighter, because they want to be brave, strong, heroic, admired, or whatever. Some kids want to pretend to be a dragon, they want to be free, powerful, immortal, etc. There's a logic behind it, it's part of their identity. If a girl wants to be a boy, or a boy a girl, or something else entirely without labels, they have something driving them towards it, and if they are committed to it, why deny them?

I'm not unchecked. I was in semi-retirement, barely making posts correcting atrocious lies since peeps know better than to bring that crap around here. Notice there was no 'Indiana=HATE' thread? I figure many people have started to see through the lies while others are sick of peddling the lies since they know they will be challenged every step of the way and they know they are just repeating what they hear like good social Nazis and have not done the critical thinking because it makes their head hurt, and perhaps even fear the phatscotty-follow-up they know is coming in the near future. Every single thing I write about lately concerning these issues, partially I write about them because I was told 'that will NEVER happen!' and 'Scott is just using fear tactics' The next one coming up is a thread about a response I got in the past, mocking me about 'Phatscotty thinks schools and teachers will help kids learn how to be gay' It was mocking me, because at that time, the 'conventional wisdom'/big lie was that you can't learn how to be gay because gay people are born that way. And, of course, now that the cat is out of the bag that actually, no, they are not born that way and it is learned.... they just move on and ignore the lies of the past and lobby the schools to hand out genderbread person learning kits to pre-teens. Genderbread Person Gonna Gitchya!

I have access to hundreds of peer-reviewed studies. Currently, the most accurate study/most damning to the oppressed protesting fanatics, is the study that looked at twins. Where one sibling is gay, they found only 1% of the time the other sibling was also gay, finding there is no genetic link whatsoever to being 'born that way' and that it is a learned behavior. also fitting perfectly with the U.S. Census finding that the percentage of gay people in America is 1-3%. But because Lady Gaga (lol) made a song about it, that's the 'conventional wisdom' of the unwashed masses and usefull idiots.

And the next thread after that will follow up on to show who was right and who was wrong, who knew what they were talking about and who didn't, because the other one's who accused me of using fear tactics when I warned Muslims freedom of religon would be protected, and the exact same religious freedom of Christians would not be. I was told specifically here 'Phatscotty, that will never happen, cuz, ya know, the Constitution!' yeah, mmm hmmm, yeah, okay.....

Well what do ya know, Phatscotty was balls on accurate YET AGAIN! I can only hope many who have not dug their heels in too deeply will, in the name of truth and reason, begin to see how they were lied to and perhaps even passed on lies themselves. Hope that they will check themselves and do the honorable thing. No worries, I am not the type to calls names or harass people with what they said or did in the past, as I can enjoy the simple pleasure of being grateful for the present and I do not obsess over the past. I only seek truth.

However, I am not afraid of the truth. People get mad because they can't scare me into being silent or into 'just going along', or because I refuse to allow them tread on me and my rights. and now that they are pushing the envelope with a fleet of bulldozers and trying to change the bible, change the first amendment in freedom of speech as well as freedom of religion, practicing hate speech to the max against Christians as well as trying to make laws that grant them special rights. Those rights being a gay baker should be able to refuse a request for a bible-cake or refuse decorating a cake with the writing 'Jesus Christ Saves!', but a Christian baker cannot refuse to make a gay wedding cake. Heck, a pizza maker in Indiana who said 'I have no problem serving gays, but I would refuse to cater at a gay wedding' was immediately decended on by savage Nazi's and forced to close down! That's what I mean by giving themselves and edge over everybody else. special rights, special words, special rights to make them above criticism and that nobody can reject their lifesyle, while in the same breathe and with hate in their soul reject ther lifestyles of others. special powers to be hypocrites with no apologies in saying words amongst themselves and to others but be 'protected' because they are 'in that group' but if another says the exact same thing, they can be fired, lose their business, fined, perhaps even jailed. I have and will contimue fight the lies, hate speech, and malicious emotional manipulation wherever it rears it's ugly head. Even when I'm the only one standing up against everyone else, me against the world...NO FEAR. However I do prefer the evil staying dormant in the first place.

"We found 52 percent of identical twin brothers of gay men also were gay, compared with 22 percent of fraternal twins, compared with 11 percent of genetically unrelated brothers,"

Hmmm...

Even this unabashedly pro-christian propaganda site puts it at 11%, eleven times your "data".

But it's still not 100% either, and that's also an important point. Genetics is not just DNA at birth, DNA is constantly mutating, and inheritable traits and conditions don't always affect even identical twins in the same way. Even so, it does not mean it's not in part the DNA that triggers it.

But let's just say hypothetically it is 100% a choice, why does that make a difference to their rights? Religion is also definitely 100% a choice, so why do you always put the rights of Christians on a pedestal? You applaud when a Christian business uses their rights to reject homosexual weddings, and you made this thread bashing Planet Fitness for banning a woman a trans-phobic woman, which is well within the rights of their membership agreement and business rights.
