Comments: The accused used a very sensitive theme like war and colonization of foreign territories to insult and attack others.
The Falklands islands are The Malvinas to us Argentinians, a territory our nation has been asking back for a long time (and even waged war for during our last military dictatorship, a horrible period of time for us). Naming them like that was a direct attack and a conduct that should not be allowed and even discouraged of.

Look that is history and at times history is not pleasant but we cannot white wash it to fit a our views of realty. However I always wonder why a nation claims land as its own when that land was outside of their realm of influence. Furthermore those islands lacked permanent settlement until 19th century, so why not just let the people who live there decide what they will do.

As a relative of Admiral Sir John Forster "Sandy" Woodward, who proudly commanded the British Naval Task Force in the South Atlantic during the Falklands War, I take offense at the use of the term "Malvinas".

It´s not the mention of the Falklands/Malvinas but THE WAY he did it that´s insulting. Read the full post and don´t stop at single words. I´ll have to quote myself: "Naming them like that", NOT "naming them" alone, was the issue.

His attitude was horrible and goes against the rules of this community, more precisely that part that reads: "Attacking a person instead of the user is NOT ok - it's all fun and games until it becomes personal." He had to check my profile in order to attack me. Casual trash talk limits to the game itself, no need to check on someone´s country and use that information to flame.

I kindly ask you re-consider this case.

So, you are saying that just because he called a disputed territory by the name common to his country (the country that is currently recognized as the owner of the territory), he should be punished. There's nothing there.

Can´t quote him anymore since I can´t read his log (foe´d), but it was in the pic attached to the original post, just read it... It was something like his uncle sends me his regards from his vacations in the Falklands (or something like along those lines), which is an obvious provocation and the only reason I would respond agresively back at him.

No point in arguing anymore it seems, so sad this smart-ass kind of attitudes are allowed...
