As China has gradually blocked all forms of western news from my life (which i thank my communist overlords for most surely) I have come to rely on off-topics to provide me with the news that matters. I might well be the only person in CC's history who actually uses this forum as a news service.

Mainly I lurk (and have done here for years) as I have honestly no idea about almost everything that is written here.

I think most of us would like to know more about the lives of others that we deal with.
