Mortal Kombat on Sega Genesis. (Best video game ever!)

Re: What video/computer game are you currently playing?
I've been dabbling in The Witcher 2 when I don't feel like playing my other go-to games (Far Cry 3, Skyrim, CK2, EU4, Civ4, Frets on Fire, Fallout 3/NV). I'm enjoying the story, for sure. The gameplay is alright. It's definitely not forgiving in the slightest. I'm sad to admit it, but I had to turn the difficulty down to easy to get through that first fight with the main bad dude, uh, what's his name...the other witcher guy that assassinated the king in the beginning. That guy. He was freaking tough. Cool game, but I doubt I'll be giving it a second play through.

I'm currently playing Grand Theft Auto V (almost done!) and Civilzation IV (possibly the greatest game ever).

Insurgency.... AI's are annoyingly smart and accurate. They've gotta be the most annoying AI i've ever faced, and its not cause there are hundreds of them. Its only like 8-10, but even single/double ones can be annoying. Harder than Players sometimes.

For those looking for a Sim City itch better than the most recent Sim City ... I am going to keep my eyes on this -- Cities: Skylines : http://store.steampowered.com/app/255710/
Out in the first quarter of 2015, Windows PC / Mac / Linux

Out in the first quarter of 2015, Windows PC / Mac / Linux
From wikipedia:
Cities: Skylines focuses on city-building simulation through urban planning. Players control zoning, road placement, taxation, public services, and public transportation of an area. Gameplay is open-ended, touted as "endless sandbox gameplay across massive maps." Player-determined civic policies can affect the development of the entire city or individual districts thereof.
Roads can be built straight or free-form and the grid used for zoning adapts to road shape; cities need not follow a grid plan. Roads of varying widths (up to major highways) accommodate different traffic volumes, and variant road types (e.g., lined with trees) offer reduced noise pollution or increased property values in the surrounding area at an increased cost to the player.
Modding, via the addition of user-generated content such as buildings or vehicles, is to be supported in Skylines; the creation of an active content-generating community is an explicit design goal. This content will be available for download from the Steam Workshop.

I couldn't get into this game when I tried it. Maybe it's because I tend to shy away from multiplayer games for the most part, particularly those where multiplayer is the ONLY thing.
To totally contradict what I just said, I've been playing Hearthstone lately and having a blast. If you like Magic of other TCGs it's definitely worth a look.

There was a CC clan at one time. Dig around and you can probably find it, although I don't know if it's still active.
I was hooked for a few months and barely escaped with my sanity. =)
I recently reinstalled Morrowind for the fourth time, and I'm loving all the mods that have come out in the last few years. It's hard to believe that fans are still modding this game, particularly with mods like Morroblivion and Skywind out.

If you get Galactic Civ II, I will play with you... but then you would have to actually tell me your steam name. You can save over a dollar by getting it at the Humble Store.

Just got The Evil Within for Xbox 360 - I'm only through the first 2 chapters but so far it is an intense game. The first true horror game I've ever played, and I have no idea what is going on plot-wise yet, just stumbling through the levels. Anyone that is a fan of 3rd person stealth-type games (Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed, etc) should really consider this game.

If it's anything like the PC port of the first Dark Souls, it is mightily unplayable. Do some research and then decide.

Long story short, I didn't get to play (wife, kids, sickness - to make it short). I will start with the tutorial.

They just fixed Dark Souls on Steam (completely playable now, I have it.) Also watched ppl do runs with it on PC. It looks really good. Special time ran out, but still 1/2 off.
