I'm freemium now, and I was allowed to join a guide game. That's nice. I'll probably go back to premium when I'm not so busy, but nice to know I can join a guide game if I want to.

I wonder if the guide games should be a doubles team game or something? I know that one of the ones I guided, he was dropped into a game against a general, a colonel, and a major. For someone just learning.... well, they are going to get destroyed. Everytime. That's not very fun for a beginner. Maybe if there was a team option it could help? Not sure, just throwing it out there.

I never try to beat my opponent from the start. I think it defeats the purpose to go all out attack. I try to keep the game going into round 10 if possible (even not cashing in territories that i occupy). If you can encourage him to sign in every day then this will obviously help in retention. In 4 player games i almost act a a team mate and watch his back from other players, after all there is nothing at stake in these games....

Doubles might be a step too far for your first game, a lot of the time finding the 'End Turn' button is too much...............

Added. When you're in the Program the games are set up by the site. You'll get a pm with instructions when your number is called.

Don't know if the setting was changed or there is a bug that needs to be fixed again, but guide games are counting against the freemium 4 game count again. I currently can't join an invite with two normal games and two guide games going.

Got you added. Games are 2-4 players, standard format. Just be friendly and answer any questions you can.

Freemiums can play guide games, without giving up a slot. This is a new-ish feature, and we're still working a few bugs out, so let us know if you have any problems.

I have 3 normal games and 1 guide game active, but I cannot create another non-guide game.

Hi. I'm happy to help out as a guide. I used to play CC under another name but when I restarted I couldn't log in coz password was linked to a defunked email address. So if you look for KevThePipe you'll see that I joined years ago and played loadsa games!

I found the Society of Cooks really helpful back then so happy to give a little back.
