check last login for autotournaments

Post by Gilligan »

Concise description:
  • before starting a new autotournament round, check the last login of users moving on

Specifics/Details:
  • this will make sure that all users moving on are ACTUALLY active on the site
  • remove all users moving on that are not active in the past week from the tournament and advance the next player

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • tired of seeing [player]roofless[/player] deadbeat in everyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy game that he is automatically placed in

There are possible edge cases where this could hurt someone who it doesn't mean to. For example, suppose you have someone whose only active games are in that autotournament (for someone like me, this is not impossible). They might see no reason to login before the next round of the tournament starts and they get an e-mail telling them they have games ready.

Probably not something that occurs enough to really worry about, I imagine.
