Re: The Championships - Standard Escalating ONGOING
Looks like 1927 was the score to beat to get in. We're still on schedule for the same start date. Singups now closed!

Re: The Championships - Standard Escalating ONGOING
Out of curiosity, was it the first 54 players to sign up with a score over 1927 that will be in the tournament? Or is it the top 54 player scores by the time sign ups ended on July 13? Thanks!

It was the 54 players that had a score above 1927 after signups closed. 1927 just happened to be the 54th player's score.
Edit: okay I see what you are getting at - I seemed to have missed you, and I don't know how that happened. I have everyone in an excel spreadsheet so I think I'll go ahead and double check that.

I appreciate you double checking. Cheers!

Ugh. The one time in like 2 years I drop below major and it happens to be when this tournament was taking signups!

FWIW, I thought you guys were pretty clear on the tourney requirements.

Hopefully there will be more than the (kind of lame) choice of 7 maps for Round 1a as we go through the tournament, right? I don't see why you don't do random or at least have a vast majority of the available maps be playable. There's a much bigger element of luck on these simple maps that you've picked, and according to the tourney page, we're actually going to get fewer options for much of the tourney (5 maps for several sets).

?
There are about 100 different maps used in this tournament. They're all in the first post.
I picked these maps because the size is fitting for the type. Having a huge map for 6 players doesn't make sense, just like having a small map for 12 players doesn't make sense. Random would put too much luck into this.
All of the rounds are formatted based on the number of territories on the map and how many players are in the game.

Sign me up, please. I may be lacking a few on the cross map req. unsure on that. Will complete some speed games if needed

Oh, I didn't realize that there was a different set of maps for each round. I saw the number of maps and thought that they were going to be the same each round. Don't mind me.
