I could use one more game ... any mod up for USA Great Lakes, Polymorph 3, Fog, Esc, Chain, Auto/Seq/24 Hour? That would get me to my required 7 ...

The PW has changed and if not sitting here ( like some people) hoarding the games, how the hell do you get one ? Please think this over next time cause this is so this is not so lame

The point of having different passwords for a lot of the games is precisely to prevent some people from hogging all the games. By having different passwords we can announce them in small batches or custom-invite people who post in various specialty threads, etc., etc. If all the games had the same password then the same people could join all of them no matter how many games we made. Different passwords help us prevent that, and steer some of the games to people who otherwise are having trouble getting any.

I don't get it, you bitch about people hogging games and then you bitch about different passwords which help us prevent people from hogging games. It's like you don't like fire, but you don't want fire extinguishers around in your neighbourhood!

Not sad at all. There are just under 60 mods and just under 12,000 members. That's 200 to 1. Even if you consider that about 1/2 of the mods are participating in this event and only about 1/16 of the members are, that still leaves a ratio of something like 25 to 1. There won't be as many games as people would like. There never have been. Yes, removing the 3-game limit that we used to have on this event has possibly made the game shortage more obvious. It has also added new elements to the mix, different game types, different ways for people to find games, two levels of medal instead of one, other prizes, and a climactic tournament to top it off. Obviously it isn't perfect, but it's a whole lot more exciting than previous events.

Actually, for me this is the first time that I'm enjoying Whac-a-mod. In previous years, you only had a choice of team games (which I hate) or 1v1 speed games (which I hate.) This is the first year that we've expanded the selection to 1v1 casual games, poly games, standard, terminator, and assassin games. Altogether, it's a vastly more ambitious event, with far more options and possibilities, and I'm loving it.

Thanks Dukasaur for pitching me my 7th game!

I am going to hold off on pursuing the 40 game medal though ... I don't think I can scrape up 33 more games ...

Yep. Tough to beat 100%.

Does anyone know what the final all-in Whac-A-Mod Showdown is going to look like?

He's got a game against me I'll do my best to ensure not 100% ;)

There, he can't be 100%. ;)

As I said over PM, you joined several games of same type. My whole purpose of having 200+ games for the event is so that many people have a chance to join & get some games. You're response to my request to limit the games was to join almost 20 of them.

Sorry, but there are others who'd like a game. And I'm surely not adding 250 games to my game count to play the same guy on the same maps over and over and over, and if you can't respect that, you're going to get foed and I'll remake them for other people to enjoy.

If anyone has less than 7 games and would like another - post on my wall or let me know! I'll probably make another 5 or so today. I'm no IcePack, but I'm trying. :)

I won't play conquest maps or trench, but I'm open to most other map types and settings.

First, sorry for bugging chemfrk by joining a bunch of games.

But, I've been away at the cabin, still are, and just managed to start looking yesterday. Been checking the MyGame page as instructed. Just got 2 games there over 36h. Then I read the thread here and go using the game finder tool. Over 60 games not showing where them are supposed to be! Time is runnning out so I needed to join more games than I would have otherwise. Just want the basic medal (that normally only required one win). Basically, think the format causes practical issues as mentioned above in this thread: difficult to find games if you trust the instructions and a bit unnecessary to make the challenge about playing 40 games or more...

Counter to my earlier criticism, I want to thank the mods for their flexibility in accommodating games. =D> =D> =D>
Two stepped forward without being asked and two more responded to requests very quickly. The system might not be perfect, primarily due to the players versus mod ratio, but everyone should be able to get at least 7 games in if they search, inquire, and ask nicely. O:)

Medal for the Mod who set up the most games, also more random games might make things more fair in the future.
