Sure, I've read taht, but is that model good for CC?
Honestly, this site needs more than superficial changes to its homepage and the above frame in order to attract and retain new members. And, there's the lingering doubt about the status of such online games (personally, I believe that the 'cyber vidya game' market is being swamped by flash-based games and easy-to-do MMORGPs). CC is more costly in patience and thought. It brings less immediate 'action' (thus less immediate gratification), but that's what most entering users want. Either you strategically target the users which already like such costly games (CC/board games), or you keep firing into the dark with subpar facial lifts.
My primary concern and belief (not founded on fact) is that this site should accept its inferior status in a declining market of enthusiasm for its product. All it can do is retain current membership while incentivizing current members to spread CC through 'word-of-mouth' marketing. This strategy has not been adopted, and I expect CC to stagnant or decline while it pursues its ineffective strategies.
