Japan to Sakhalin?

Post by anglophileRVK »

Why is there no attack line between Hokkaido & Sakhalin?

Borders Questions

Post by Nobunaga »

... Just a couple of Asian map queries.

1. What countries in Siam border Yunnan? It's very hard to tell.
2. I heard a rumor there is a on-way connection between Sinkiang and Tadzhik? Is this so? And if so, which direction?

Any input would be appreciated. I discovered the Sakhalin-Hokkaido connection the hard way. :x

Well, I found out about the connection between Yunnan and Thailand the hard way. I had 6 armys both on Burma and Laos thinking they blocked access to Siam and only had 1 army each on the inside countries, but nooo!....logged in to find I had been gutted out by that non-connection connection. There's a 100 miles at least that separates China from Thailand if you look at an atlas.

I'm holding siam right now...but now I don't know if I'm defending it....

I think the Asia map has alot of issues with it.... I think that someone needs to fix it. Most people I believe aren't aware of the Magic teleporters that cross open space... :) ..... As far as I am aware... this isn't Star Trek Risk.... lol... .:)

Map Routes

Post by zorba_ca »

I've tested out almost all of them (I think). The following are permissible.

Sakahlin -- Hokkaido, North Korea
Maylasia -- Thailand ONLY
Burma -- Laos & Thailand (NOT Vietnam)
Cambodia -- Laos, Thailand, Vietnam
Laos -- Burma, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia
Thailand -- Burma, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia (NOT Vietnam)
Yunnan -- Burma, Vietnam, Laos (NOT Thailand)

Some have suggested otherwise, but until a recent Game Log arises that proves differently, I treat this as definitive. Please note that I state "Recent Game Log" because at one point the map and borders were revised.

Are some of these routes bugs or should all be as they already are??? :?

Whether or not they are bugs is a question for the programmer.

I can say that to the best of my knowledge all these routes exist on actual maps.

The rumor was true :(
I fixed it now - they are separated by a mountain chain

I put in a new version of the map with an attack line between Hokkaido & Sakhalin and a clearer Siam region. If you don't see it, reload your browser. Also put in new USA and Classic maps.
