Slow server

Me and a buddy of mine were sitting down to look at a game, and we noticed that the server was quite slow.
I rebooted, as did he, and we both continued to find that the server is slower than normal.
Anyone else experiencing these "slow, then fast, then slow again" server paces?
Or is it just me?

yeah same here. waiting 1/2 hour for someone in 1 of my games to finish his turn(i know he has finished attacking). it is very slow at the moment and keeps going off. :evil:

yeahh, john, i've got the same thing here. it's a bit of a bugger, but i'll take my turn in the game where i think that private is gonna deadbeat once it's fast again:P.

I smell an update.

They have each been about 1-2 months apart. The most recent one was over a month ago. any day now....

well my "recently finished" games has dropped from 300 to 120. So I would I guess Lack is cleaning some things up.

HOw many times must this be a fucking issue! I've been away from this site for a while now because of this very reason and have returned to same thing. There is NO point whatsoever to get a premuim membership! I have one which tells how much of an idiot i am.

It tool an impressive NINE MINUTES to load a web page. I just joined a real time game and haven't even had a turn. I wonder? Will i deadbeat?

What happened to a bit of courtesy. It would go a little like this:

A notice on teh website:

"Er, i'm the guy in charge of this site and i don't know my arse from elbow. the site is a waste of spce, don't bother coming back. have a nice day"

bingo. i found out that the daily maintenance hadn't been running for 10 days. i solved the problem, then ran it to catch up and i guess extra load triggered a slowdown. server is still struggling... i'm keeping an eye on it now.
