It will take as long as it takes. No better answer than that.
And why is that?? Is there not a system to all this?
the approximation is very systematic
De gueules à la tour d'argent ouverte, crénelée de trois pièces, sommée d'un donjon ajouré, crénelé de deux pièces
Gules an open tower silver, crenellated three parts, topped by a apertured turret, crenellated two parts

We were thinking of changing the graphics a little bit but it will also affect the gameplay... By testing it, we (Lancelot and I) find that it's hard to take the suburb and the winning condition. So we were thinking reducing the seine river between Suburb 3 and 4 so they can attack each other easily ! Or we could reduce Paris neutral troops ?

The winning condition is now very difficult to obtain and nobody is gonna run for it...

What do you think ?

An other suggestion :

- Paris is the central element of the map, especially to reach the autodeploy. With so many troops neutral, it does not become interesting to take Paris.
Should reduce the number of neutral troops from 10 to 5. What do you think?

Leave the map as it is till you get games played on the main site. With so few games played in alpha testing, you cannot make any determination on what will be good or bad. Use the alpha testing phase to see what you want to keep an eye on but nothing else.

Yeah, I'll agree with koontz on that one. If that's the only thing you are worried about (and it's not even a big worry) then let it be solved in beta.

          Beta - Quenching

---The development period has concluded for the France 2.1 Map. All objections have had their time. The Foundry and I hereby brand this map with the Foundry Beta Brand. Let it be known that this map is now ready for BETA Play. After an extended period of time in BETA and once all quirks and issues have been resolved, the map will be put into Full Play (barring any Admins or Foundry Foreman vetoes).

Conquer Club, enjoy!

              Image

While the map is in BETA Play, there are a couple of administrative tasks that are required of the mapmaker(s) in addition to the initial gameplay testing:
    1. Please ensure that the first post of the thread contains all the necessary information to help future visitors to the development thread; it's particularly important to ensure the most recent images are there, along with any helpful guides (such as gameplay quirks/nuances or the location/size of any starting neutrals etc.)
    2. It is the responsibility of the mapmaker(s) to ensure that they respond to further feedback in a timely and constructive manner.
    3. Write a "creative" map description and send it to the Foundry Foreman via PM. You're encouraged to post it into the first post of the thread as well; the description will be used to populate the maps database.

Thanks guys ! That's awsome ! We're testing it right now... IMO, we could reduce the neutral in Paris and reconnect the suburb 3 and 4 (reduce the Seine river)

Make the Foreign Claims accessible from their attached territory.

if you reduce paris to 5n I think that would be good.

I agree with this. I just played a 4 player game on it with trench and starting in the south meant it was next to impossible to win. By not being able to at least bombard Paris and prevent the victory conditions meant those deployed around Paris had a major advantage in the game. The ability for territories to reach the foreign claims and bombard Paris would level the playing field significantly.

nice map, but in a flat rate game Paris is much to hard to take, it will not be part in the game untill the end

OK, that's true... We'll probably change this... And we'll change the neutral on Paris in order to be easier to reach the victory condition... Thanks all for the notice...

I would probably not put any neutrals on the parisian petite couronne, just on paris itself.

Some of the flags are hard to see against the background of the map. Like the gray specifically. Can you do more to make the flags easier to see?
