New Year, A Birthday, and Cake!
The new year is now upon us. I'm sure you've all made your CC resolutions; clearing your foe lists for some of you, playing more (or less) assdoodles, or maybe even trying out one of the new gameplay options 2013 brought us.
With the new year comes another exciting event:
CC is Turning 8!
With this exciting event comes a celebration that I'm sure you look forward to every year. Yeah, I said it. I'm talking about
Battle Royales.
TeamCC will be starting up BR's for you to play in over the anniversary weekend. The game numbers will be posted automatically to our CC Twitter and Facebook pages. Please also join us in Live Chat where TeamCC will be hiding out while making the BR's. When the event begins, a handy game finder link will be posted somewhere prominent to help you all get in on the celebration.
The madness kicks off on Friday, January 3rd at 6PM CC Time and will last through the day Sunday (ending at 11:59PM Sunday).

I made chocolate cake - but I ate it.
It was REALLY good, though.

The NEW homepage ...
Takes [ 3 ] screenshots to get the full picture ...
I cropped out all of the browser information to only show the homepage
It is much better than the last homepage look but,
I think that 95 % or more of the people only use it to login
I will NEVER scroll down to read any of that information
It is easier to look in the Forums for that information

Re: New Year, A Birthday, and Cake!
Three cheers for the new homepage! It has all the cool stuff that you guys wanted to add AND it looks much snazzier!
I do like having links to the Announcements on the home page, even though I don't always check them.
Who did the nifty background anachronistic picture? I like it! I was half-expecting to see a dragon or t-rex, though. =)
I'm crossing my fingers that new sign-ups continue to trend upwards. =)

Re: New Year, A Birthday, and Cake!
The new homepage is an improvement, but still not good enough. The background image is relatively pointless. A good homepage will not require scrolling.
Also, no chance to win a Battle Royale since I'm stuck with the terrible site clickies.

Just an idea for the admin... why don't you guys send an email to all accounts about the birthday celebrations. It's a big enough event that it could justify a mass email and it may help bring back a pile of old people. Maybe you could mention all the new and continued updates as well to help draw those who left due to the neglect the site was suffering from previously.

Re: New Year, A Birthday, and Cake!
CONQUER CLUB's 8th Birthday....
The Banner for CC 8th birthday for a massive online chat should include UTC/GMT not just CC's local time.
That would make it much easier for people worldwide to figure the exect time it will happening, rather than having to to Google time converters.
For instance, me being in NSW Australia know that I'm 10 hours ahead of GMT.
Just a thought!
-B!LL!
EDIT: Though, I must admit clicking on the link in the Banner, shows a COUNTDOWN to the chat time. That is very helpful!!
EDIT2: I just realised my post is pointless, because as I type this the chat is 4hrs 15mins away. At which point I most likely will be fast asleep!

I managed to fix the problem myself.
