The Brits are delayed at immigration perhaps?

...or maybe the are delayed by trying to sign up all month for Obama ca... errrr , I mean 404-Care.

Sorry for the delay. I definitely blame the new healthcare system for anything wrong with this tournament and the event in general.

Surprised that all four teams in the finals won all of their first round games as well. Should be fun.

If a tie-breaker occurs how will it be determined? More games between the tied clans?

This is a Batch 1 SOS Africa Qualifying Tournament. Each player is limited to ONE qualifier per batch. If you wish to play in this tournament, you may NOT join JaneAustin's Rails in Africa, sempaispellcheck's The Nile Runs Red, or ManBungalow's Lower Egyptian Triple Trouble.

Settings
Maps: Rorke's Drift
Players per game: 4
Game Type: Doubles
Initial Troops: Automatic
Play Order: Sequential
Spoils: No Spoils
Reinforcements: Chained
Special Gameplay: None
Round Limit: 30 Rounds
Round Length: Casual

Setup/Structure
In round 1, the 16 teams will be divided into 4 groups of 4 and play a round robin. Winners advance to the finals and repeat. If there is a tie in any way, tiebreaker games will be played.

In the finals, the 4 teams will play another round robin. Same procedure as round one.

Prizes
Winners of the tournament will be rewarded with a General Achievement Medal, 3 months premium, and a place in the SOS Africa Finals tournament. Prizes are donated by Entertainment team.

Notes
  • Tournament begins when full; first games will be made and sent out shortly thereafter.
  • This tournament is part of SOS Africa -- Round 2.
  • Everybody receives 2 invites for joining games. After missing 2 invites player will be replaced by a reserve.
  • Any issues will be solved by the tournament organiser and his/her word is final.

does that mean the winner of the second set could be the loser from the first set.

ie - a team from the first set goes 0-3 but goes 3-0 in the second set. They technically would win the "rematch" of the tie-breaker.....does that crown them even though they were winless in the first set before the tie-break?

If they go 0-3, they wouldn't be involved in the tiebreaker. It's the teams that are tied.
