at the start of each round, check the score requirement for the tournament again
Specifics/Details:
for example, a 2000< point tournament, at the start of round 2 check scores again. Perhaps make it a percentage...your score cannot be more than 10% lower than the original requirement. anyone under 1800 points in this case would be removed.
perhaps as the rounds go on, make it a bit more lenient. round 3 = 12.5%, round 4 = 15%, etc etc.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
it will avoid autotournaments that should have players with 2000 points and now have some players with 1600 points.
I don't want that. I joined an auto tournament when my score was above 2000, and now it's 1600 odd. I don't want to be kicked out if my score is not high enough anymore, even though I deserve to go to round 2 because I won farir and square.
If you're so worried about your CC points change your suggestion to something like "every points awarded to players in these games will be based upon the player's score at the time of registration".

He's talking about prior to tournament start, not mid-tournament.
taking a break from cc, will be back sometime in the future.

Yikes! I guess I didn't think Gilligan would have suggested such a thing, I thought he meant every time a new player signed up.
I'm very much opposed to this. What if everyone remaining didn't meet the criteria? How dumb of a tournament ending would that be?

we already have that
If you join a Tournament legitimately then become unqualified for some of its games before it starts, or while it is running, then when a new round starts you will be precluded from entering any of those games you are not qualified for. Those games will be played with 1 less player or awarded to the remaining player if only 1 player remains.

After the tournament starts, that only applies to, say, if you are no longer premium for a premium-only tournament. The page says quite clearly:
Note that it is possible that after joining the Tournament player may stop meeting the Entry Rules, however the Entry Rules are only applied upon joining.

Prior to the tournament works too.
It is a requirement of the tournament, right? I can see both sides of this and just thought i'd see what other people thought about it.
I am also opposed, because I believe that once you enter a tournament you should be protected against point fluctuations. Though I agree with agentcom that the wording on the tournament page is somewhat contradictory.

I'd be all on board with verifying each person as another joins. Similar to how the auto-speed-tourneys work, they check for current joined players to verify online status each time a new person joins it.
