Don't believe my current score is high enough, tho I've certainly won more than 100 1v1 games on over 25 maps. If the stars align, I'd like in please.

the one thing i don't like and perhaps i'm not reading the OP right but during the qualifying rounds each "match" between two people is one round. if per chance as happened recently in one of the 1v1 tourney's i'm currently in you load a map at random say Supermax, Pearl Harbor, or City Mogal. first person to play wins the vast majority of the time... by playing groupings or games of 3-5 you get a better show of which person between the given match pairing is "superior". Admittedly the extra games mean extra work but i've been on both ends of the above situation and don't prefer it either way. Winning by starting with an 8 or 9 troop differential out of the gate when base deploy is 9-12 just doesn't feel like a true win. just my thoughts.

I don't disagree with you.

So, in the satellite tournaments, we purposefully set it up for less games, because we wanted to have them be over a little quicker. There will definitely be a little more luck involved there. In all the ones that I ran manually, people did play at least 3 games per round, but not necessarily against one person. But, because bigWham and I both agree with you, we upped the ante quite a bit for this tournament. The least anyone plays in one round is 7 games and the finals are 51 games between two players.

ya i'm looking forward to it and i'm eagarly anticipating an update in satellite 5 as i doubt at this point my points standings are high enough to get in. and barely missed the cut in the two other satelites as i was one win short in each subgrouping... ty for the update and am looking forward to the tourney overall

The policy? You mean the tournament setup? It's all in the first post. 128 players: 32 from qualifiers and the rest from sign ups in this thread.

Well, i was critisizing the fact that its limited, and the selection policy based on number of games played. I wouldnt mind playing qualifiers, but they were full already when i checked. I guess i was too late for that..

Yeah, that's been a criticism of this so far. I've already addressed it in the thread. We'll look at it and maybe change things for future tournaments if we feel like it warrants it.
