What a sociopath! He should just leave all 1's or all 5's like the rest of us.

That's very benevolent of you, the kindness of el Jesus negro knows no bounds! I just gave somebody a 3 star rating because they were average.

I used to give people 3's, 4's and 5's until I realised nobody gives less than 5 and that 4 means 'bad'

If someone is actually <5 better not to rate at all

I rate everyone what I think they deserve on the scale. However, a lot of the people I only rate for attitude and not gameplay.

They should delete everyone's ratings and tell them to actually rate according to what the scale means, rather than just giving 1's and 5's. Or they could change the system to allowing players to give everyone they play a positive, neutral, or negative.

Considering that 95% of people only rated people for the medal, I don't think this will work. I don't rate people anymore because I have my platinum medal. It just seems like a waste of time now.

Well, that's only for people who actually care about medals :P

I rate according to gameplay/attitude. Sometimes I don't remember to rate at all. If someone has been particularly sportly, they get a good rating for sure. If they are a total loser for no reason, they'll get a bad attitude rating. If it's someone who's a noob, I tend not to rate as I don't think it's fair to rate a new player bad, unless they draw my attention through saying mean crap in game chat.

I rate players accordingly.
I find it interesting.
You automatically know what a players rating (score) is when they go ballistic in chat.

Players who talk shit and get all uppity, in your face..you will know.
When encountering such behavior, first thing I do is try and guess their rating.
I Rarely miss.

Rude behavior of any kind usually starts with a rating of 4.4
Ratings of 4.3 include (not only rude) lack of trust.
Then of course you have the 3.9 on down...these players have it all...

There is no reasoning with a 4.0 or lower.
I am sure that players with a low Rating, think ratings are of no use.

Example: A game where somebody (player X) will call out that Pink is huge!
If you glance at player X's rating it should tell you something.
But for a player with a low rank (rating), it tells them absolutely nothing (being that they don't even give it a second glance, other guys rating))!
Some players might view player X's ratings to see if he has a history of any foul actions.
Not a player with a 4.3 rating.
Kinda like a thief.
A thief is always worried about somebody stealing from them...

Ratings are useful.

I give all 5 unless somebody does something real dumb, has a bad attitude, or does not play honorably. I'm here to have fun not shit on people especially on game play everyone gets bad dice or makes a mistake here and there.

I was on cc a few years ago and couldn't finish or find subs for a bunch of games because of health problems. Now my rating is low due to a few deadbeat 1 star ratings (4.2). I normally play all my turns, am fast, and friendly. Now it's difficult to play games because people won't join much after I've joined. Since I've started playing again, nobody's left a rating, so I can't improve my score. Since the average score is so high, It makes improving a low score difficult. I'm sure the rating system works fine most of the time, but for me it's pretty lousy. I just wish there was an effective way of improving my score.

Only 95% of people? I guess I was wrong when I assumed it was 99.9%
