Conclusion
I tend to miss a lot of game chatter because I never scroll down to see it. By imping the proposal you will encourage more social interaction because it will be right where the rest of the essential information is...the map, the players, etc...

I have quite a bit of empty white space to the right of the map. Is 1680x1050 normal?

Can't you place the Game Chat window above the map?

Either chatglove does that, or BOB, or it's a feature in the Settings. Someone will come by and narrow it down for us.

It's chatglove that lets you move the chat box around wherever you want to. I like it to be to the bottom right of the map.

I'd like to see the chat section moved underneath the Continent Overview (as shown above) with both of those section using scroll-bars.
I am certain this could be done, and there is certainly plenty of real estate to use to get them on screen.
This would promote the use of chat much more...a reason that it is not used in lots of games is that is out of the way i think.
I beleive this is similar to what backspin is saying above.
Moving it here...there is no need for chatglove if it is an add-on like BOB.

Indeed it is...but then there is even more space to place chat here.

I'd like game chat sent by carrier pigeon as an option. Or next / above the map too.
