Foundry Guides clarification needed

Post by degaston »

In looking through the Foundry, I noticed that in the Drafting Room, the thread "Foundry Guidelines: Draft Maps and Ideas" says:
Title Requirements
1. The page with the latest development of production. (I.E. ‘Update – Pg 3')
9. No use of [brackets]: use (parentheses), --dashes--, or “quotes” instead.

but in Tools & Guides, the "Conquer Club Mapmaker Handbook" shows:
Title Requirements

1. Map Name
2. A Tag with the date of your latest update [dd Mmm yyyy] (e.g. [06 Jul 2011])
3. List what page(s) the latest update is on (e.g. [p1/5])

And most (but not all) of the current maps in the foundry use brackets. I assume the later post is the current policy, but it would be good to avoid contradictory information.

Also in the Mapmaker Handbook, it states:
Information Requirements on the first post of a map thread
Map Name:
Mapmaker(s):
Number of Territories:
Special Features:
What Makes This Map Worthy of Being Made:

Map Images:
Small
[bigimg][/bigimg]
Large
[bigimg][/bigimg]

All fields MUST be filled (otherwise the map draft won't be considered for a stamp).

Is it required to have both a large and small image from the start? If not, then this should be clarified.

This is what happens you you have a large dept like the foundry. Some things over time become outdated and wrong. I will try to correct them for you today. But regarding the title and all other things, the handbook is the place to go. And no, the large map or small map is required. Again, will try to get these things sorted.
