Not applying, but what do Discussions Mods actually do?

At a cursory glance most of the actions I'd expect to be done by a moderator in forums that they oversee appear to be done by either global mods or admins. Maybe the forums would be better off with more global mods to lock multiple threads across multiple sub-forums on the same topic (e.g. current Map Rank & WTG issues that appear in 4/5 sub-forums) and point them towards a single thread in the correct sub-forum for discussions of problems and potential fixes?
If nothing else works, a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through

A concise description of the duties performed would be super. I know I would find it of great benefit as I weigh up applying. Blake locks threads and polices general, so what do discussion mods do? Kick people from live chat? Merge threads?

Discussion mods are in charge of the consumption of gourmet peanut butter. Sorry for the confusion.

Hmm, here I sit working diligently on an application that encapsulates sincerity and eloquence. Then I find out the peanut butter has to be gourmet. Snobs!

As person who for his sins has been fated to be a chef for over half his life so far. I have a unique view point on the word gourmet. Gourmet the last refuge of scum bag advertisers who aren't allowed to write that their trans fat laden, heavily salted and sweetened processed goo enhances the victims sex appeal(some countries have strong truth in advertising laws). So as soon as I see the word gourmet I think over priced, and average-poor taste.

Now if discussion mods were encouraged to smear smooth peanut butter on as a body paint!

  • Have high activity on Conquer Club, especially posting throughout the forums.
  • Be self-motivated with a level head.
  • Be eager to contribute to internal discussions and conversations.
  • Must be strong and prepared to carry a large shovel for the shite
  • Must not be fashion conscious due to the need to wear unfashionable waders to get through the sludge
  • CC never actually pay you the promised jaffa cakes. Stingebags!

I've never seen a callout thread generate this much action. You're a genius, TeeGee!

They were under MY purview! Where's kentington to tell the stories? Probably in therapy.

Alas, the sticky smell of peanut endures. Good luck, TeeGee!

BoganGod, you are too controversial. Hey, wait a minute! I like that. You should apply.
