Is the old home page still available???

The new home page requires that you enter your username and password every time you log onto the site.

The old home page entries could be remembered by FireFox. This made it a lot easier to log on to see my games.

Is the old page still available as an alternative??

Sometime like www.conquerclub.com/oldgamespage.php

I log directly to "my games", rather than the homepage. It should remember your password in the field on the left of that page.

EDIT: That doesn't work anymore. I must've logged in before the update. BUT, I did log in from the main page and it autofilled for me. I'm using FF too.

OK, I'll keep looking elsewhere. I do use the http://www.conquerclub.com/player.php?mode=mygames1 link to get to my games, but when the home page design changed, it stopped filling in my user and pw. Must be something else since others are not effected.

I'm the same way, its not saving mine anymore either.

Also, I really liked the other homepage better. This one looks poorly situated and awkward. I like the new my games screen, but the login screen is not a big favorite of mine!

doesnt remember mine, and the look of the old one was nicer IMO anyway....also i use chrome mainly, but cant use FF to check control panel or inbox, even with out chrome open sas i need to login (already have) *sigh*

If CC decides to update their homepage.. at least make it look good, I think the old classic look was a lot more appealing to the eye instead of some cheap 4 boxed graphics with a bunch of crap thrown all around.

Oh... almost forgot why I came here... its not remembering my psw and does not auto fill for me... I am on chrome.

I wonder what add ons and other things have been ruined to bring us ugly arse dos shell would be ashamed to be so chunky menus. Heaps of more important things to do. Some how it is was of supreme importance to bring VGA grey back......

well i belive that in Personal menu>control panel
need to be buttons, where you can put old home page, and old pages to be yours personal settings.
This its look so plastic,and look like copy of Major Command.

On the one hand, it's nice to see that the old homepage was finally updated.

But ouch. It's much too cluttered.

The site still remember you, but everytime you go home page it is asking the pw. Click on "THE GAME" or "FORUM" then instead of typing your password, and you'll see you are still logged in.

Map rank won't be fixed by the site owner. And if clickies are the clickies from BOB they won't be fix either by the site.

Precisely, today's great websites maintain a "less-is-more" attitude toward their site, ESPECIALLY THE HOMEPAGE. Bombarding users with too much information is just as bad as not enough information.

I like the idea of a contest for a revamped homepage. I would participate.

I never use clickies, but aren't they supposed to be integrated? Also, maybe the Site Owner should create a Map Rank for the site. I for one think that would be an awesome tool.

Stated policy is to break add ons that are useful and the result of hard work by the community. Bring in not beta, nor delta but epsilon site changes. Deny all responsibility for consequences of acting before thinking.

At least though the site owner and admin are trying to bring in new things, rather than stagnating. I give them kudos from trying, and a negative score for implementation.

They certainly aren't breaking addons purposefully. You do realize these are add-ons? So the programers of the site are doing their thing to improve it. The add-ons are well... add-ons. Would I like them to try and implement some of these in the coding of the site? Yes. But I certainly don't believe they are doing it intentionally or any such thing. The add-on creators have their code each. There is no way that the site programmers could make sure every add-on still works when they program their site. If you don't know how programming languages work all that well, then just take my word for it! If you do, then think through how programming works and how silly it is to expect them to program their site according to existing add-ons.
