IMHO - Yes, but you're assuming the Lannisters, would join a faction because they're your enemies. They may in fact pick your faction, because a crushing victory is due to occur, and they don't know you're in that faction.

Yeah - but the Lannisters seem to have made it pretty clear that they're waiting to be wooed, and that they have the power to swing the balance to either side. That doesn't seem like any crushing victories are imminent.

Victories certainly won't become more imminent if the few non-third parties who are active keep suggesting to lynch third parties who have nothing to do with their opposing faction.

The ship has sailed anyway. You all don't seem too keen to join me now so you are all at this moment a potential threat.

Lol...this is just getting ridiculous! How the hell would we know if we are joining you or not?

Probably because you guys keep saying that the factions have to "get you on their side" - it didn't seem as though you've picked one yet.

Have you? :)

Well you specifically said the following, which I don't appreciate:

Nebuchadnezer wrote:Are you even reading anything, or just jumping in to seem active?

But your actions are pure threat. You've clearly stated that you want to join the Lannisters, the 3rd party faction that will very likely be responsible for deciding whether the Loyalists or the Rebels win. So all your actions will do is give them more power. Their support (Tywin and Jaime) will still be strong for either faction without you - but perhaps not quite as decisive if they have 2 votes rather than 3. I can't see how it's to anyone's benefit to allow you to continue adding more power to unpredictability in this game. Are they willing to protect you?

Then you should know the Neb (as well as the Lannisters) has claimed to have not joined a side yet.

Neb has claimed that he can't actually join the Lannisters, but would like to end up joining the same side as them (since that side would probably win).
Nebuchadnezer wrote:Lol...this is just getting ridiculous! How the hell would we know if we are joining you or not?
Neb's point in this post was that (according to what he claims) he wouldn't know which players he was actually supporting when he picks which side to join since there hasn't been anybody giving a full claim to be either Loyalist of Rebel yet.

This

I have been threatened several times that I am Fucked because I dared push for a claim. Here I have been told I have screwed my self over, which tells me that the Lannisters will join the opposite faction that I claim.

Perhaps it is you who should be persuasive? Alleviate my fears. So far all you have offered is spite and threats, which is one of the reasons I am leery of third parties such as Neb and yourself.

It's unfortunate that you look at Minister's post and attitude and automatically apply that to me. I don't think I've made any threats (still waiting for Foxglove to show me those). I'm only concerned for information to help me make an informed decision. It is funny that you still think you're screwed over here.

This is where my frustration boils over. You can't possibly be reading anything I post, if that is the conclusion you are coming to. It's frustrating that this type of play would not be tolerated in a normal mafia game, yet in this one, everyone seems to be fine with players posting lies. What you have posted here is so far out, I'm at a loss as to how you got there...and that is why I asked my question that you "didn't appreciate"...because you don't seem to have a clue as to what I've posted about my role, my choice, etc.

And I see no justification to you saying I've only posted threats. Am I a bit snarky? Yes. That comes from the frustration.

Uhhhh.no.
You asked for a claim yes, which wasn't ideal, but I ran with it.
But instead of thinking "hmm...maybe I should use the situation to my advantage", you and Fircoal decided to complain about it.

Here I have been told I have screwed my self over, which tells me that the Lannisters will join the opposite faction that I claim.

Ah so you are part of one of the two factions eh? Good to know.

Perhaps it is you who should be persuasive? Alleviate my fears. So far all you have offered is spite and threats, which is one of the reasons I am leery of third parties such as Neb and yourself.

I disagree, but at least I'm not still pressuring poor Neb, who clearly can't offer any more information.
And did you miss the at least two times where I quite clearly said I'd use my night actions for support? It's useless me saying these kinds of things if people simply arn't going to read them.

To be fair, what an individual player feels or interprets about a post shouldn't be that surprising. I could understand your frustration if everyone was piling on, but I would say that the lack of momentum on your bandwagon shows that a minority of players hold that view on you.

Disagreement is part of the game, I wouldn't worry overmuch about what one person says. It's when everyone says it that things really get serious.

Vote count:

Neb (5) - Spiesr, nagerous, Butterfly, Fircoal, Foxglove
IB (5) - jonty, strike, neb, Minister, safari

Deadline still at 10th. With 13 alive, it takes 8 to lynch.

nagerous wrote:Too many people not posting for my taste. Seems like we are not getting anywhere either with a clear split in factions. Mod don't just set a deadline, replace the inactives.

*Cough* *cough* (Deadline)

As far as inactives.. If you want someone replaced, let me know. Most people still seem to be posting. (I am planning to prod Flow, tho - haven't seen him post in a while).
But... It was so artistically done.

The Weird One hasn't posted in over a week but seems quite active everywhere else.

Personally, I'd like to hear current thoughts from him and KGB (who last posted friday for a vote count before he would do anything)

If you were on your own, no. but if you were on your own you don't pose that much of an advantage for us to join you anyways. Other than that, I don't have an issue with joining a side just because one of it's members has been against me in the past. It basically comes down to who I think presents the better chance for me to win. I'm pretty sure you've known me long enough to know that I wouldn't side against you out of spite.

I agree with this.

You rang?

Anyway, I am sorry for the inactivity. My current thoughts are confusion...I have been so inactive with posting because I'm unsure as to how to proceed. I agree with fircoal's stance that lynching a third party may be beneficial, but I'd rather lynch someone of the opposing faction. The catch being that we're all completely in the dark, here...except for the faction heads and the third party peoples...It does seem that Foxglove is being a bit overzealous in his pursuit of Neb, though...This is just at a glance. [another reason I have been active in others and fallen behind in this is that the others I'm active in are incredibly simplistic and take very little time to follow...that being said, final projects for my classes are just about done with, so my activity should pick up in a couple of days...I'll try to remain at at least a post a day in the mean time]
