Thanks!

P.S. Why not merge it with Ionia? then it can serve a gameplay purpose.

It does serve a purpose as it is. I deliberately kept it as a dead space territ so you can hide behind a neutral or be trapped by an opponent or partner. It also fits in with the themes of the maps time of exploration. Last reason is that if it connects to Ionia, that whole continent becomes too powerful and the winner of that corner will win the game.

I read true the last 3 pages and didn"t find this issue. Sorry if it was already post.

Map: Austrum
I have 4 connected territory (Mona, Gaulos, Iona, Ridun) but no bonus at the beginning of my turn Game 13104098 round 3.

Edit: never mind, they are not all link. My bad

Otherwise, nice maps and fun to play on.

Hey, I have difficulties understanding the bonus. It is +4 if I have 4 regions connected.
Then if I have 5 regions connected, do I have twice 4 regions connected and a +2? -> it seems to work that way currently. But I dont find it clearly explained, I was surprised to get a +3 with 6 regions connected.

No, the bonus works like this. For every 4 connected regions in an area, you get +1. I do not know which of the maps you are on but they both work like this.

Go the Austrum and you will see an island chain in red on the right hand side. This chain is 6 islands long. So if you hold all 6 islands, you will get a +3 in total. That is how many connect 4s you can make. Slightly above them you have the orange islands. Again you can get a +3 here but for only 5 islands. You can make 3 chains like this:
Paros-Iiex-Orcadia-Ictis
Paros-Iiex-Orcadia-Gyara
Gyara-Iiex-Orcadia-Ictis
Now if you go to the right of the map to the light blue, you get a heavy concentration of land regions. The master key here is Icaria. It is surrounded by 4 regions but can be part of 9 bonuses.

No where on the map does it say you get +4 for any bonus so not sure where you read that.

I made a typo mistake, I meant +1 for any 4 regions connected not +4.
And you explained what I understood after playing the game. I was just surprised it works that way and not +1 if have 4 and +2 if have 8 but it makes sense now.

The only bonus chap should get for Ha2 is the negative one.

Vertex is fine as it is but can a player limit be placed onto Austrum at 10 payers max :?: The starting positions are on the ships and there are only ten of those. If not handed out, they start neutral. :-$

I don't know if at has been already told but
in the Vertex map the "Syros Cauda Anticosti Delos" connexion bonus is missing in green left zone
Game 13436027
De gueules à la tour d'argent ouverte, crénelée de trois pièces, sommée d'un donjon ajouré, crénelé de deux pièces
Gules an open tower silver, crenellated three parts, topped by a apertured turret, crenellated two parts

I just played Austrum 2vs2 and I'd lost before I could play due to the drop.

I might have been able to go through the neutral ship to break the bonus if the starting value (3) was a little lower. Maybe?

And the game would be?

As for the neutrals, they will stay at three, but no one should get a bonus drop. You may of had a bad drop but that is not really a reason to lower the neutrals.

Now, in the next hours or so, some of you may notice that even if the map is quenched, it is listed as Beta into the start a game page, etc etc.
This because I'm not going to change the status. Admins have to do a test, not directly related to the map but with the recently released Beta Medals. For this reason we need to wait they do their job, it shouldn't take too long.
Apart for the status, everything else works as usually.

Congrats!

before we officially release this, I have a concern.

[bigimg]http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m164/gills53/vertex_zps43ddedd7.png[/bigimg]

as you can see, I have exactly 10 regions. I planned it out so that I would not be able to go below 10 (cause of trench) only to find out Arcturus is not included for some reason?!

I dunno, the way I understand it is that you need to hold Arctous and 10 regions total. Not Arcturus and a separate 10 regions.

gilligan, I only count 9 yellow regions. Did you win with holding the ten that included Arctous? The winning condition is set up to hold two things, a region and a bonus. The region Arctous is not in the bonus so it should not of happened. Did you miss a yellow troop somewhere?

EDIT: Is the game poly? This may be a bug then with that style of game.

it is poly. in the screenshot above, I had 9 regions and Arctous and did not win. I'm just saying the statement of how to win is a big ambiguous as to whether or not it includes Arctous. I thought I would win with 9 regions + Arctous = 10 regions.

It does say:

not
Hold 10 regions including Arctous.

Not sure how to better word something that is pretty plain now.

That would have been my suggestion too. It works the way you have it, it is just a bit ambiguous. After playing it people will realize, like I did, I suppose.

I'm with Koontz on this one... It is a completely logical sentence.

I'm not saying that the statement is not accurate to the condition. I'm just saying it can be interpreted more than one way.

Do I have Arctous? Check.
Do I have 10 regions? Check. At least my first thought was to separate the conditions as they were conjoined by "and".
