Yup. We got Kershaw'd this year, though. I can't really hate the fact that we got beat twice by the best pitcher in the majors this year.
Tigers are back in the ALCS. I wish we were playing the Yankees again - we own them in the postseason. Boston will be difficult. In fact, despite the euphoria of the night, I expect the Red Sox to beat us. We don't play well in Fenway.

Bollocks.
You sound like Pixar. For shame.

Top of the 6th, 1 out and the Cardinals intentionally walk Gonzales to load the bases. Puig at the plate for the Dodgers with a full count, strikes out swinging and Uribe also fans to end the inning.
Dodgers get 0 runs on 5 hits and St.Louis wins with 1 run on 2 hits.
Tigers give up 1 hit in the bottom of the 9th and win opener in Boston 1-0.

The crowd was LOUD for that sequence. I was a member of said crowd.

Pitching on both sides in tight situations was awesome.
I haven't watched a single game this year, maybe not even last year, but I'm gonna watch Detroit vs. Boston, but only when Walking Dead is on commercial break.
Sonofabitch! First the Pats in Foxboro and now this. That Ortiz line drive of Benoit's first pitch fastball was so quick, it's hard to believe Hunter over ran it. It was all down hill from there, the Tigers looked like deer in the headlights in the bottom of the ninth.
Wondering... bases loaded bottom of the eight. If Hunter makes the catch going over the wall, do the runners just get one extra base?

That would've been interesting, especially since he ended up injured (well, not injured injured but shaken up). I would think that since he (hypothetically) made the catch it would be as if he made the catch in the field of play, meaning that the runners would be able to tag (and Pedroia probably would've been able to score since he was injured).
That game was stupid. Should have left Scherzer in. Though he claims he was gassed. Should NOT have pitched to Ortiz. So what if they walk in a run? Still only 5-2, and they don't let Ortiz beat them. That could have been the series right there.
