your fist paragraph is not even worth talking about cause you need to get your facts straight, i am guessing even everyone else on your side of the debate wish you didnt make a fool out of yourselfes.

your second paragraph, by you posting that on the internet and them not but rather going into a church or house. who is really getting into eachothers lives? seriously though, it is everyone. there will always be whining.

I may be wrong :?
But I'm pretty sure Luns is laying on the sarcasm pretty thick.
And quite well, I might add. Keep it up Luns....

This confusion has arisen because of the well-known fact that people with right-wing leanings find it difficult to appreciate irony.

It wasn't irony, it was sarcasm.
I happen to appreciate irony quite a bit.

I don't want to steer this thread into a tangent (I posted this in another thread). Just illustrating irony.

You shouldn't rely on Alanis Morissette for the meanings of words. She was just being ironic when she sang that song.

AMEN!! Finally someone who has their facts straight. He is the worst president we've ever had. While it is true that he would be a miserable failure despite his political party affiliation, the fact that he belongs to a party of racists and homophobes ensures his stupidity and terrible decision-making.

he stands for absolutely everything that stand against pretty much. i think the way he goes about things is wrong, his ideals are wrong, his background is wrong.

on top of that i believe he did do some dodgy stuff with his first elections.

and to top it all off he's STUPID!!!!!!

people say he resembles a monkey but thats an insult to monkeys. he makes monkeys look like nobel prize winners

Bush has allowed the war in Iraq the overshadow domestic issues that need to be resolved. Medicare, Social Security, and xtra's favorite issue, Illegal immigration all deserve the attention of the president of the United States.

With his Guantanamo Bay, Abu Ghraib, Scooter Libby, Jack Abramoff, Cheney Hunting Incident, and countless other scandals and abuse, he has made America the most despised and ridiculed country in the world.

He has surrounded himself with synchophantic and loyal cronies who do little more than support his policy. Dissidents are eventually dismissed from the cabinet.

All I can say is, thank god there is a two term limit to the presidency.

In what way?

I don't mean this to be sarcastic, but where is your evidence that President Bush has made America better in some aspect. I admit that I may be biased because I am a Democrat, but I want to hear where he has benefitted the country. I don't see much, especially with the botching of the Gulf Coast and New Orleans Hurricane Katrina rescue and subsequent cleanup. Not to mention his appointed FEMA director that turned out to be a complete hack.

Listen, you guys can either waste your time questioning my motives, or start helping me out by exposing the current corruption going on in the White House.

It is a known fact that Bush was governor of Texas...Texas is a big oil state...there's oil in Iraq (are you starting to get the picture yet?)...Bush took us to Iraq and now oil prices are high...Halliburton stock went up...Cheney used to be the CEO of Halliburton and is still a major stockholder. Can it be more obvious?

SHUT UP!! It's worse than that actually. Bush is evil, and his mom looks like that guy on front of the Quaker Oatmeal box.

Oh, quit all your bloody wankery. He'll be out of office in due time. Now, of the two, which is worse:
Hilary Clinton

Or

John McCain

And we ALL know those are going to be the candidates running. Obama isn't going to make it, first cause his name is TOO close to Osama and second (and honestly, I hate to say it) because most americans are just not ready for a black president just yet. We aren't and I know we aren't. Look at US history, Women got equal rights (full sufferage, among other things) first, then it was the minorities. So, first a white woman in the oval office, then a black man, then a hispanic, then a black women. (sarcastic mode on) Then after we've had one of each, an American Indian is elected and deports ALL other ethnic groups back the the geographical region they all came from. (sarcastic mode off) I'm sorry I just lost consciousness there for a second.

I don't know. I really have a hard time believing Bush is evil.

I know Bush has done some stupid things and comes across as retard, but I don't know of anything that he should step down for.

Do you realize that Bush stepping down would make Cheney president? yikes

Hence the despirate need for non-americans and even some americans to actually KNOW a thing or two about our political system. Besides, people were clamoring to have Slick Willy impeached over a blow-job (yes, I typed it), And why are the leftys not clamoring with equal zeal to have the same done to Bush? Well.....Cheney, for one and obiviously the leftys lack the balls to take a stand like that. The last part was a guess, nothing more.

fwiw there have been some clamoring from leftist thinkers to get Bush out of office throught the presidency. If anything, i would say there was a greater sense of shock from the media than anything and that allowed enemies of clinton to push the issue forward. Had the media jumped on the movement to impeach bush (though its never really been that large in number) then perhaps its possible that there would have been move toward a change. And i also wonder if it would have been that likely to try and impeach two consecutive presidents.

And why are the numbers so few? Could it be that there are not many to begin with?

Granted, shock sells. But for some inane reason, not peace  .

And trying to impeach both Bush and Cheney would be a nightmare. That is, if that isn't the situation already.

You are an imperialist aggressor. What did Sadaam Hussein ever do to you personally? Al Queda is just standing up for itself and you and your big bully friends who think you're so tough with your automatic rifles come in and complicate things. I hope you're proud of all the destruction and death that you've accomplished.
