You are right though, the original idea was for tourney prizes but also as a way for players to say thanks. Many players comment no my maps with no reward. Sometimes I would like to say thanks for helping out.

I would be ok with it for a tournament prize.

I like this suggestion a lot, I just don't want people to get into the Cup if they don't want to play those games.

And thats the good thing about this. If you are unsure if a player wants cup play, you can get the credits. As a tourney prize, you can offer one or the other, either or both. With the amended suggestion, you can do what you want, how you want, when you want. I am sure that if a cup was offered as a prize, a tourney winner could ask for the credits instead.

But right now, I have no way of buying a conquer cup entry for you. I can go and buy you premium and that is all nice. But if I wanted to give you thanks, that is the only way I can show it. For all the 25$ that people spend on each other here, I believe that the 5$ cup/credits will be spent far more widely. This gives extra revenue to the site for bigger cars and houses more programmers.

I think that the new ownership just needs to look at this to see what they think. I don't know why they would particularly have a problem with people paying money on the site. I already presented the only argument (a weak one) against this earlier.

Thanks chapcrap, I know you had your reservation about this one, but as I have said, the idea of not wanting money seems to go against everything.

I have updated the OP but here is the idea for all to read as well.

• Conquer Cup - Allow me to buy the entry for different players.
• Allow me to buy 500 credits for other players.
• Allow me to gift my credits that I have gained in blocks of 500.
