What am I?
(this is one of those that will either last about 10 seconds or stump everyone for hours or days...)
I read this and thought the answer was for sure SILENCE, until I get to that last damn line.

Ooh if not silence then a secret or a promise
Why do I get the feeling we will be on this one for days lol
You're overthinking it - it's silence (just couldn't think of a damned last line that made any more sense than that - and when people are ashamed they go quiet...)

lol makes sense, good one
There is a five letter word in which if you remove 1 or 2 letters to it , all three words will have the same meaning. What are the 3 4 & 5 letter words?
This one will be either really easy or keep you going as well

It's Loki's furry son, the wolf one, not the horse. However, his name eludes me atm. I think it might've been "Fenris", but don't quote me on that.
Kudos if you got that because your a mythology geek too... I'll post another riddle later tonight or first thing tomorrow
I read the prose version of them when I was younger, not sure if I qualify as a geek.

I read it in school (the watered down kid friendly version) found it interesting then... picked it up years later and found it was just as interesting if not more than I remembered. So I guess I qualify as a geek

Lol fair enough... I would have said something sooner but my work schedule is crazy (to put it kindly)
ok for your hint: these are one of the most commonly used words in the English language... (sorry for the time being I can't say any more than that... lets see who's clever enough to pick that apart )
crispybits wrote:I very much doubt that this is the "right" answer, but depending on how loosely the three words can have the same meaning you could have
ALONE LONE ONE
Very good Crispy, now because you got that so easily there is one more acceptable 4 or 5 letter word that would fit the bill can you guess it?
bingo, you got it!, changing computers so I don't have my riddle list on me and I don't want to give you just anything, if you haven't posted anything by tomorrow then I should have something up.
I very common one I think so dont answer it if you know it already but its one I really like (it was also on Graham Norton)...
Four prisoners are arrested for a crime, but the jail is full and the jailer has nowhere to put them. He eventually comes up with the solution of giving them a puzzle so if they succeed they can go free but if they fail they are executed.
The jailer puts three of the men sitting in a line. The fourth man is put behind a screen. He gives all four men party hats. The jailer explains that there are two red and two blue hats; that each prisoner is wearing one of the hats; and that each of the prisoners is only to see the hats in front of them but not on themselves or behind. The fourth man behind the screen can't see or be seen by any other prisoner. No communication between the prisoners is allowed.
If any prisoner can figure out and say to the jailer what color hat he has on his head all four prisoners go free. If any prisoner suggests an incorrect answer, all four prisoners are executed.
The Jailer thinks he is being cunning and puts the hats on as such: The screened prisoner has a blue hat, and from back of the line of 3 to the front the hats go red, blue, red.
However one of the prisoners is a cunning wee fellow and gets him and his mates free; how?
I go to the gym to justify my mockery of fat people.

as I've already posted a different variation of this riddle on my other site I will give someone the opportunity to solve it out of fairness
