I tried to pick him up after his first game. I was too slow.
Now is the time to trade him!! He's getting worse. Average below ..275 the past couple weeks and his swing and miss rate went from about 20% to a little over 40%!!

I enjoy the All Star Game. I do find the Homerun Derby rather boring though.

All Star game was another yawner... a 3 hit shutout and the AL finally gets home field for the Series.
I liked the tribute to Rivera in his final All Star appearance, but a three and out 8th is hardly an MVP performance. Suppose that's just what a sleeper this game was.

Sandman.
It was a boring game. I honestly like the interviews and back stories. I pretty much only watch Phillies baseball during the season and tangentially pay attention to the rest of the league for fantasy baseball purposes only. So, again, I'm a sucker.
The Derby is way too long. I was excited to see Prince bat, and thankfully he went first, then laid an egg. I knew he didn't have a chance when Cuddyer beat him. And I was tired of watching before the first round was over. They need to find a way to revamp it so it moves faster.

Bollocks.
And so Chris Berman isn't a part of it.
I started watching at a bar. I was bitching up a storm about having to listen to that jackass. When I went back to my place to watch the 2nd and final rounds, I kept the sound down so it was almost inaudible. I don't know why ESPN props that guy up. He's awful.
Also, did anyone hear (whichever announcer it was) reciting a few lines from Enter Sandman while Rivera was pitching, trying to use the song to describe the man? That was awkward, and made me angry. Lots of things make me angry in sports, like the yankees. And sports. Then again, getting angry makes me happy, so it usually works out.

Bollocks.
Considering the Brewers are horrible and Braun already has a contract for next year, him and the team don't lose much with this ban, which is a shame. Bans should actually hurt.

He's been suspended without pay; it'll cost him $3.85 million in salary. Of course, he's under contract through 2020 after signing a 5 year extension worth $105 million in 2011.
