And how do you know they're suffering? And what "sin" are you talking about?
Sin is almost everything we do. We laugh at ones pain, it's sin. We masturbate, we sin. A lot of things we do, we sin.
How do we know that people are suffering? You can just look around, and see that people are suffering. Even if it isn't visible, people are still suffering from something.
Correction, everything we do that does not glory God. The pleasures of the Temporal world are just that, TEMPORARY! The pleasures of the Kingdom are FOREVER! It is as simple as that.

I said A lot of things we do, we sin. Not everything.

And believing in a religion is not simple, it is almost the opposite. Thinking that what you are doing is upsetting the god you worship, is not simple. Having people go against your religion and you maybe just wish they would just see what you see, is not simple. Getting told that you need to be a certain person to get into a heaven, which probably doesn't exist, is not simple.

(sigh) You got simple confused with easy. Admitting your failings, asking God's forgiveness and walking in His grace are all simple. They are most definately NOT easy, since the world, your own flesh and the Devil all conspire to bring you off the narrow path. It is hard, true, but not a complicatied affair.

I have several problems with the idea of Christianity, but for one question, how can the Devil exist at the same time as an all-powerful God? If God must punish us for our sins, surely he would do better to rid everyone of a being that pushes people towards sin, wouldn't he?

How can you learn from a mistake if you never made that mistake to begin with?
The same principle applies here. Good and Evil walk hand in hand.

But then how come the same principal doesn't apply to heaven? If heaven is perfect, then no evil can exist there.
What's more, if good and evil go hand in hand, then there would have to be good in hell as well, and if hell were what we make of it, then we would make it a lot better place for personal enjoyment.
Minister Masket wrote:Not quite. Evil is not what you make of it. It's there, and you either fight it or succumb to it.
Religion is trickier. I'm speaking as a Christiovolutionist here btw.
Evil is what you make of it in some cases. It is currently being debated in another thread whether masturbation is a sin, which goes hand in hand with evil.
Minister Masket wrote:Ah, but is mastibation an evil deed? (see other thread)
Exactly my point, it is being debated, and therefore is what we make of it. I doubt you would find a person who would say murder is not evil, but other things are more obscure. Is stealing to eat wrong if the person you steal from is morally corrupt and has an abundance already? I bet most starving people would say no.
Minister Masket wrote:Heaven has no evil. Hell has no good. They fight here on Earth. They cannot live without each other.
But they can live separately? Explain if you can.
Only in heaven and/or hell, where they thrive. On Earth, no, they have to live and fight with each other.
Convenient then that no one can tell you what heaven or hell is like then, eh?
Well, no. Being dead is an essential asset if you wish to enter either of these places. Shame they can't contact the living. Or can they...?
Right, I am aware that you have to be dead to go there. The argument I'm making is that, since Christianity is not true, it was invented by man, and that this is simply a loop that was invented to keep the faithful faithful without ever having to have any real proof. You cannot explain to me how there cannot be evil in heaven or how there cannot be good in hell or give me any reason for it, because no one with whom I can talk has ever been there.

You state that it is not true right there; there is no scientific proof that either is true.
