ATP TOUR 2013 PREMIUM PRIZES ADDED

This will be the inaugural ATP tennis tour. It will consist of 36 weeks and 65 events. Points will be earned for each event and the top point scorer will be crowned the champion.

Joining Tournaments

I will post all tournaments in the sign up section. In weeks that there are more than 1 tournament join only 1. If you join more than 1 I will give you are warning the 1st time. The 2nd time I will ignore all signups for that week.

I am starting it early so we can have a ranking system in place based on the outcome of the 1st 3 weeks of tournaments. No ranking system will be used in the 1st 3 weeks. I will try to follow the dates listed as closely as possible. The start dates may be earlier if the tournaments fill up faster.

If tournaments do not fill by the deadline we will play with less players as long as we have at least 16. If byes are needed they will be drawn randomly in the 1st 3 weeks. After that the highest seeded players will receive byes.

If tournaments do not fill points will be awarded on a discounted basis based on number of entrants. For example, 128 possible entrants, but only 100 sign up. Normally 2000 points for winner if major. New points will be 100/128 =0.78125(2000)1562.5 points for winner.

World Tour Finals, the top 16 players after 35 weeks will be invited to this event and placed in groups of 4. They will play round robin with the top 2 from each group advancing to the next round. The 8 players will again be split into 2 groups of 4 where they will play round robin matches. Top 4 advance to play bracket style.

100 points for a win in R1
200 points in R2
300 points for RU
600 points for winner
1500 points if winner goes undefeated

Points will be updated after each tournament is finished.

You have 24 hours to join all invites. If you do not.

1st offense- warning
2nd offense- 10% point deduction for that week
3rd offense- 25% deduction
4th offense- 50% deduction
5th offense- you are out and will not be allowed in future events

If you know that you will not be able to accept invites beforehand, PM me and I will work with you.

First tournaments will be out in the next day or 2.

Shoop, can you clarify how many games are played in the TIER 4 events? In week 1, you have 3 TIER 4 events which invokes the rule that "the 1st event will be best of 3" and perhaps the rule "Final event best of 3???"

So, I see that Qatar (1st event) is listed as best of 3 while the other two (Chennai & Brisbane) are listed as best of 1 which fits the first sentence. However, I'm confused how to interpret "final event best of 3." I first thought this meant the last event listed (Brisbane) would also be best of 3. However, I'm wondering if it may mean the final round within each of these TIER 4 events will be best of 3.... or perhaps something entirely different since there is no mention of a 3-game final in these events (though, each does ask freemiums to keep 3 spots open).

Would you set me straight, please.

Sorry the final event refers to the tour championship. I will edit that in the first post.

In all weeks that there are only multiple tier 4 events, the first event for that week will be a best of 3. Some players don't like to take the chance of getting a bad drop or dice in a 1 game series so I am trying to keep options open for anyone who might be interested.
