yea the major down side is that who ever goes first is probably going to win

Japan Map?
Is there a Japan map? Seems with all the feudal wars with the samurai back in the day that that would be an excellent foundation for a map. See "Sword of the Samurai" or "Nobunaga's Ambition" ... maybe a China map from "Romance Of The Three Kingdoms" would be playable also. Just tossing some ideas out there...
There is a Japan map, that has just been finished(it's here).
I think a map of China from the three kingdoms era would work well, at least based on my limited knowledge gained from playing dynasty warriors.

I have made a map of modern japan, not feudal, I was tempted on taking some inspiration from Shogun, but I found a map with 47 prefectures ready drawn into it and that was just too hard to pass up.

I guess photobucket disapproved of the Japan map. Can someone repost it .. perhaps Haydena?

WWII Pacific Theatre Map
Just tossing an idea for a triples map (Japan vs US) of having a Pacific Theatre with all the major battlepoints of WWII on a map. Still brainstorming, but they can include the following:
Hawaii
Wake
Midway
Tarawa
Iwo Jima
Guadalcanal
Burma
Bataan
Borneo
Singapore
Bali
Sumatra
Rangoon
Java
Santa Cruz
Bougainville
New Britain
Saipan
Guam
Okinawa
Manila
Corregidor
This idea and theory is still in its' infancy in my mind and thought I would pass the thought along in case someone felt like they could make a case for it to come to fruition.

Bit uncalled for, there, Jotemeister.
The historical map idea hasn't been thoroughly explored around here yet...K's Alexander map is a start, and there was an early-stages war of 1812 putting around, but I don't think anyone's brainstormed a decent way to make historical battle maps work with the game engines as they are - i.e. countries randomly assigned, not one half of the map being assigned to one triples team and the other to the other. It's too bad, as a modification that would allow that - no bonuses, capture the flag style triples map - could be quite an interesting game.

Re: new map Computer
I wrote:I had an idea before i saw the site map suggestion of making a map of the key board or even the whole comp.
make some continents like a couple on the keyboard one on the moniter one on the mouse and if you make the tower or base (main comp. part) nearby put some on that too
you can divide the key board inbetween the alphabetic part and the arrow keys to make two continents
you can divide the mouse into countries on the mouse pad or just on the mouse like by the left and right buttons the ceneter rolly thing and the main part that is in your palm
and my final idea is to put the classic map on the comp screen and make the continents countries insted because that would be a big map
you can probably think of extra pieces like a camera or mike or nearby fan or something that you can add
I know this is probably hard to make but that is my fantasy map and i would like to see someone take on the challange
*****Update*****
i have started to create this map check the link below

Er, sorry? I didn't mean to say anything rude just then. I just meant that Japan had been Quenched, so even if the Photobucket link didn't work, the map should be viewable on CC soon enough.
As far as I know...unless little gremlins have hacked into my computer again.... **Checks** Nope, it's still in Final Forge, awaiting some new additions being made by Haydena.

Sorry, Jota, I was reading your post as a sarcastic diss of the Battle for the Pacific idea. Didn't realize you were in earnest.

I think someone should make a D-day map... either make a continent from each of the beaches and then one above them all as a Normandy continent
OR
Make one beach... have a gunner's nest as a continent near the top with one way borders down into the beach... and the only way you can attack into the gunners nest is from behind it

None of you understand. I'm not locked up in here with you. You're locked up in here with me.
