Standard Rules

Below are the rules as often used in Mafia games, borrowed from numerous Moderators in addition to a few new entries of my own creation. Beware that any of these rules may change or fluctuate during game play, and you will be notified via Announcement in the game thread.

1. This game is moderated by me (Jnd94), I am the law. Whatever I say goes. If I make a mistake I’ll do my best to fix it.

2. Do not quote any PMs you receive from the Mod. You are not allowed to post ANYTHING about your character… No ifs, ands, or buts! There will be no asking of win conditions, words, letters in a word, or any other loophole you feel you are smart enough to test me with. You will be replaced if you do this.

3. If you forget your role, or you delete it, that is your own fault. I suggest not doing either.

4. All ‘votes’ and ‘unvotes’ must be in bold. If they are not, they will not be tallied. (I.E. Vote: Sagewood Monaghan)
** If you vote two or more times consecutively without an unvote in between them, then the first vote will be the one that gets tallied. **

5. Lynching requires a majority of the town vote, and once the majority has been reached any and all unvotes will not be counted.

6. Once your death scene has been posted, you are dead. You can no longer post anything - PERIOD. Fell free to continue to read the thread, but do not post. If you speak, you will be shunned by the mafia elders

7. You may vote ‘no lynch’ to end the day without a death.

8. The game will not be discussed outside this thread.

9. Do not edit/delete previous posts. Whatever you say goes into historical record. If I see people breaking this, they will be replaced.

10. Day scenes I write will be entertaining and help add to the flavor of the game. Don’t read too far into them. No clues or game information will be hidden in the text.

11. Joking in the thread is fine, but don’t let it get carried away and take over as spam. At night, there will be NO talking about the game. I will allow a little bit of spam, but if it gets carried away I WILL modkill you.

12. Be attentive and active in the game. If I see you are not posting at all, I may kill your character. There will be no replacements in this game. If people are not posting, then the day turns to night at the end of the time period and we move on.

13. Each game ‘day’ will not last more than THREE 24 hour days. I will remind everyone if the deadline is near, and to look toward voting. If no majority is reached at the end of the SECOND 24 hour day, a ‘no lynch’ will be forced, sending the game into the night phase.

14. Each game ‘night’ will not last more than TWO 24 hour days. I will remind all those who have night choices when the deadline is near. If at the end of the SECOND 24 hour day I have not received your night choice, you will have lost your choice action (I.E. for mafia, there would be a ‘no kill’, etc).

15. If you have any questions about whether you should or shouldn’t do something, or just need some clarification, feel free to PM me.

A normal ship, normal people. Everything was fine, that is, until the stom came. It came so fast we didnt have a chance to seek cover. The wind was harsh, the water sprayed our faces with no mercy. People falling off the ship, their last words being drowned out by the incessant thunder. Head count the next morning-25 people. Wehad started with 127, wow, what a storm. Our supplies had been damaged, but not too badly. As the days went on, people started to realize that the supplies couldnt last forever. Groups of people started small secet groups. Most were peaceful, but some were as greedy as all heck. They were called the Jolly Roger Alliance. All the other sailors and pirates knew they were there, but just didnt know who they were.

They needed to find these bloodthirsty pirates, or else they would suffer dire consequences.

AAARGH! this begins Day 1 laddies, with 25 alive it takes 13 to lynch!!!!!

Yes. I don't believe it's random though - it is because my name is food related (supplies) and includes the word Guilty. In future I'd suggest you actually make a random vote - fool.
