I like the old ones a lot better, and I think lots of other people do too. After I voted on this yesterday, the vote was 12-5 in favor of a slight altercation; now it's 13-13.

I just thinking,that its better to create some new Ranks,to prevent these inflation of high Ranks,because now you have so many High ranked players,and now its quit easy to get High rank.

The reason being is once you get over 3000 score, especially 3500 score and higher it is extremely challenging to maintain and points are so difficult to come by, I think the gaps or separation should be a little closer and I would suggest what I typed in here may be a little more reasonable, but I do like your vision qwert. I would consider something on the lines I what i just mentioned and it is more reasonable, now in a year or 18 months from now, you all could re-examine this, but this would work and being challenging for many for the next year or more. I like the options of more lower ranks too because it is a lot of fun to attempt to shoot right up through them, and each one you hit and go higher feels very successful and quite an accomplishment for those that do. Voted no as I honestly see no benefit to this. No cooks when an army marches on its stomach? Lastly, the new insignia look plain. Whilst their might be some merit to look at the scale of the ranks, again I cannot see any benefit in doing so.

The reason I want the insignias to stay the same is not because I don't like the new ones. I like sprucing up of all things. The reason is because I'm so used to telling at a glance who is in a game that it's become second nature. Having the re-learn all those ranks would temporarily put a delay in the recognition time as far as sizing up a player for a game.
I think if the insignias were changing all along I would be more for this change but since they have been the same for so long it will be a hard transition as far as people coming on-board.

Well with new revolution, maybe its time for some add new ranks and new(more military) view of Ranks. They could look like shoulder rank insignia.

Oh, qwert, I mean no disrespect to your idea (which interested me enough to read the thread); I was only having a bit of fun. Actually, it was probably more directed at koontz' post about cooks in the army.

If it makes any difference, I think the current rank insignia for the Cooks looks like a piece of toast.

It's funny you should mention this, as I'm the reason users can foe Team CC members at all. It never used to be that way.

I joined [player]KLOBBER[/player]'s games when I had mod-foe-immunity, and he got upset and made a suggestion to allow him to foe me.

In a way these new emblems do look more badass than the old ones. They just look more "military" and less glitzy. They are growing on me.

Cool. I must admit I like the ? For new guys because it works well. I sort of like the cook business because it's insulting.

The epaulettes look pretty excellent though.

I definitely like the premium Insignias. As I said before, they have a distinct "military" feel to them. The white and green I'm unsure about though... I wonder if there are any other color combinations that would work for freemium? I don't know enough about military uniforms to know what combinations would be appropriate, however.
I do also agree with 2dimes that the current new recruit and cook insignias work well in that they tell us more about the player than just rank so any replacement should have this quality as well. Maybe a long handled spoon for the cook? As far as new recruits goes, nothing is really coming to me. The question mark may still work for that one or maybe a boot representing boot camp? Fun stuff.
