And forgive my dirty mind.... but what is that bit sticking out of the Outer Skirt? Might be best to just round that out.

You can't have oxtail without an ox, AKA a castrated bull. If he leaves that "bit" out you are referring to, the map will be inaccurate. Maybe we should round out Florida from the USA map? :P

I am in agreement with Dukasaur and FT.
Leave the knob alone.
It makes me want to never eat skirt again.

I just questioned the necessity of "showing it" it is all. If everyone is fine with it, then I drop my concern.

The concern about the star remains though.

. The star in the title is... off. The center of the star has some pixelly edges and the skirt effect is uneven. The bottom right point doesn't seem to match the rest of the text at all.

I believe that's simply because of the angle of that point. The effect is the same as any where else on the star, but because that point leans into the drop shadow, the effect becomes less noticeable.

The observation about the outer skirt just made this map even better.

The head looks fine.

You will only have very minor things if anything. Go ahead and start your xml now. That way you can post it as soon as RB0 stamps this.

edit: the one on the right btw - yeah I know its a bull.

I understand that will always be someone wanting to tweak something about a map that doesnt affect gameplay when its waay to late but hey what you gonna do?

As for the star, I agree with The Bison King, it is the way the star is and the shadow. It may look funny and strange, but it is the way it is.

If anyone has any other comments on gameplay, now is the time to speak up! If there are no other concerns within the next couple of days, this map will be stamped!

i am against the shadow on the Star.

1. some of the shadow angle matches the other writing but the shadow on the right of the top point is a different angle
2. how is it that we can see shadow on the left side of the bottom right point
3. the large shadow going from bottom left to right upper point is too deep compared to the writing's shadow or the shadow coming off the bottom right point

+ there should be no shadow on the left inner curve of the "S"

Haha, this seems pretty cool. The only bad thing I might say is I've seen that font for the logo a lot. Also, doesn't 3 neutrals on that "Special Offer" seem a little steep? Seems like a bit much to spend on simply breaking a bonus, especially in the early-game.

Obviously, I'm a relative noob at this, as I'm not as seasoned of a "map guy", so take from it what you will, I guess!

Seeing this for the first time... my initial thought is, I don't know if I'll ever be strategic enough to play these kinds of maps... but it looks great! Unique concept, very nice graphics. For the advanced maps, this is a cool addition.

How can this be classed as an advanced map. This is simple classic gameplay with a twist on it. :?

Here is the latest.

Seems like the main issue has been the 4 Star Meat logo drop shadow.
I am using a real font made by professional font people, so I'm not going to question or alter the drop shadow on the letters.
The star I made, which is why it doesn't match. I've been thinking about it, and if I simply add a drop shadow on it it still won't match because it won't have the pattern on it. I can't put the pattern on it for two reasons, firstly I'm carp. Secondly and most importantly it will get in the way of the army number.

So I decided to go with a clean simple star. I feel it still works with the logo because of where it is and the color matches the rest of the logo.

I hope most of you will agree this is the best route.

Best wishes,
Dana
