Also I thought it was obvious that there are 3 ships and the little boats are a part of the ship by the way each ship is labeled... I guess not.

you'd think those dashed lines and sequential numbers would clue people in... perhaps not tho...

Yeah, I'm wondering how you could perceive U.S.S. Arkansas 3 or 4 as not part of U.S.S. Arkansas. :-s

Oh don't be like that. Any suggestions to make things less confusing would be great, but just pointing out things are confusing doesn't really help much. I don't see how to make things clearer, if anyone else does I'm sure mibi would love to hear about it.

well i could reverse the numbers so the main battle ships are 3,4 and 4,5,6 ... you would have to be a real idiot to think holding 3 and 4 gets you a bonus.

Oh, in our current game (that we had to stop in the middle of so I don't have a done power point yet) we were using map 3, and the east and west thing was confusing people a little bit (during initial deployment). I'm thinking people might accidentally use a east territory when they mean to use a west or vice versa with the drop down menus and get frustrated.

So for now, even if it isn't historically accurate, I like version 1... :( Only because it is less confusing and more intuitive. If I didn't think 3 would confuse people I'd be supporting that. 2 might actually be the best way to go but I think some graphics would need to be redone to make it feel less weird.

Which was under control of the Germans, hence the german army divisions, which are going to be renamed anyway.

well since 25 people prefer the map upside down and 25 (14+11) prefer it right side up, I am going to leave it as it is, and remove the east and west preferences.

Changes:
1.East west references replaces with historical names
2. Boat numbers reversed so people dont think holding one ship gets the bonus
3. sig

I saw Andy  so I'm running around bumping maps I want him to comment on. Do I think it will accomplish anything? No. But I'm doing it anyway, because I'm neurotic. =P~

Which map do you prefer? See page 12.

1. Original. Incorrect historical polarity.
16% [ 11 ]
2. Flipped vertically. Correct historical polarity. North is up.
38% [ 25 ]
3. Flipped horizontally. Correct historical polarity. North is down. East/west references reversed.
21% [ 14 ]
Remove east/west references.
0% [ 0 ]
I dont care about the historical polarity.
23% [ 15 ]

The sig is the most important thing on the map, im going to make it a playable territory worth +10.

the only issues i could see at this point are the impassable not being in the legend. Are people going to think they can magically walk through walls and barb wire, or can that business be left out?
