Different ways to buy premium?

Post by jnd94 »

I dont have a credit card, and adults think that this is a waste( :o ), so they wont buy me premium, so is there any other way to get premium? Maybe I can mail it to Lack or something?

I know previously some players have offered to buy premium if they are mailed the $20. It seems like a simple system, but a risky one too...

If you have a bank account, you can hook a bank account up to PayPal, and then pay via that. I think on PayPal's website it describes how to do such a thing.

Lack has said a few times that he won't accept any other payment option, simply because he won't deal with it, too much risk

That sounds great Andy and wacichia but..............

a) my country is not on paypal
b) by the time I have posted it to you it would have cost me another $20 in postage and you would probably only get it next year!
c) Can do a telegraphic transfer if I had a bank account number but........ no-one is likely to give that out!

I have spoken to wicked about this. I am already a premium but am hoping an alternative is in place before it is due again. I know there are quite a few trustworthy people on cc (like wacichia) but am sure there are a few people like me and jnd94 that have problems joining - it would mean more money for CC!!

now this may sound stupid but how about doing it via ebay or something?
put up a fixed price auction for a premium membership then accept whatever payment method is necessary only you have the legal backing of ebay... i don't know if thats a stupid idea or not but i thought i could throw it in.

edit: i could have just deleted it but i thought i'd leave it up so people can build on the suggestion.

you need a bank account to use ebay. the only thing that this would solve is people who use ebay but don't like to use paypal

for one thing the cost would be prohibiting, ebay's charges have gone silly. Also ebays prefered method of payment is paypal, as they own it. Altogether not a good idea.

Wacicha is respected. He got me my Premium. He is honest and will not scam you. I recomend him to those whose parents(guardians) will not buy premium for you with their credit card. And he does get you premium first.

Unless they have changed it very recently - you do not need a credit card to sign up for PayPal. They can verify your bank account by processing a transaction for a couple cents. Then you check your bank and enter in the date and amt and you're set up.

It's a very easy process. They do offer you an option to use a credit card as a backup payment. However a credit card is not required.

Hope that helps!

Lol, a few years ago, i started a paper round that sent me cheques. Obviously the cheques were under my name, so I told my my parents I need a debit card to cash the cheques in. 3 months later I quit my paper round, and I'm buying off amazon and ebay and all sorts :)
