Platinum and/or Diamond Medals

I like the idea of a platinum medal. Plus, when I have my next losing streak I can just claim it is because I'm hunting for platinum.

Agree, a few more medals tiers would be nice.

Also agree that there's a problem when freestyle players can get all the medals, but seq players cannot.

Either a seq medal should be added, or the standard single medal should count only for seq games.

I mean honestly... Can you find anyone that would actually argue that freestyle and sequential are not 2 completely different games with completely different strategies? That deserves two different medals I believe. But that may be for another thread.

I don't think it would matter very much
Sure, for a while, a couple of months at the very most, the top players would be trying to get the platinums they didn't have, but then they would have all of the platinums and next thing we now there are 10 threads up here vying for diamond metals, then invisible, then whatever other completely random medal level people manage to think of.

I dont necessarily agree with the sequential medal. But I think it's kind of lame that gold cross map is achieved after 60 maps when there is ~150 to choose from - and that's just one example. I think the medals need an update, like they hade done with the ranks in past time. There's a bunch of players that need more to strive for, and I think platinum medals is a good answer to that!

i got to looking.. a lot of the ppl taht make decisions here have like few gold metals... Ive got a feeling that they look at this personally as an unneeded change :S

Something over gold would be nice, and give people another reason to log in and play (and play nore games, thus more paid sub.s).

I second this.....not only would it give some people new heights to reach, but it would diversify the current medal standings a little more.

it would tempt me to buy premium for another year. Right now, nothing left to play for. I need a couple more medals for tournies won and than im done.

I'm all for the platinum medal, the only question I have is that won't it look a lot like the silver medal? Since platinum and silver's color aren't that far apart.

JR, you've played nearly 19000 games over nearly four years, don't kid us that you're gonna quit just because you're out of medals to get.
